Quality of (Mobile & Fixed) Networks & Services Report 2019 02

The Reports are based on the Quality of Service for the Mobile & FixedNetworks. Data is reported by the licensees (Etisalat & du) to TRA during 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Quarters of 2019.

Indicators are measured on a monthly averaged data, which includes the largest possible statistical representation of the network status.

Introduction

The Technical Quality of Service (QoS) & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Regulations forms part of the regulations issued by TRA in accordance with:

Article 13 (3) of Telecom Law: This regulation is designed to ensure that licensees meet quality standards of performance and adhere to the terms and conditions of the license granted to them

Article 14 (3): This regulation is designed to grants the TRA the authority to issue policies with respect to the terms and level of service by the licensees to the consumers, including the Standards and Quality of Service.

Quality of Service policy. (Issued in 2011)

1- Fixed Network based Voice Services:

Network Availability:For both licensees the network availability of the Fixed Network voice services is 100% during 2019.

Network Effectiveness: The following figure 1.1 shows network effectiveness ratio respectively for both licensees during 2019 which is higher than the proposed threshold.

2- Mobile Network based Voice Services:

Results: Network Availability-core Network For both licensees the network availability of the core network is 100% during 2019 which is higher than the proposed threshold 99.9%.

Results: Network Availability-Radio part: The following Figure 2.1 shows Network availability of the radio part for both licensees during 2019. ETISALAT has achieved higher rate comparing to the proposed threshold 99.5%.
