2.Are our measuring systems easy or confusing? Explain

I. BackgroundA. The Metric System is a system of units

for measurement

B. Used by scientists around the world

C. Easy to use because it is based on units of ten (10)

Burma, Liberia, United States

II. How it works

A. The basic units:

1. Length=meter

2. Volume=liter

3. Mass=gram

III. Conversions; Metric-Metric

A. How to do it:1. We are ONLY MOVING THE DECIMAL!!!!!2. Here’s how:

1. Look at the order of the prefixes2. Begin at the prefix that you start with3. Move to the prefix you want to end with4. Move the decimal in the number in the same

direction and the same number of times you moved on your graphic organizer

B. Example:1. Convert 1102 meters to
