Introduction

Metal Gear Solid.

After finishing the Final Fantasy VII series I decided to do a shorter one. One of the comments on Facebook page led me to doing this game. I hadn’t watched or played the game for many many years and decided to watch a Let’s Play like I did for FFVII.

The Metal Gear Solid series has been a favourite of mine for a long time. The concept art from the games has been one of my biggest inspirations that led me to becoming a video game concept artist myself. I have actually (very briefly) seen both Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa in person when I was in Hong Kong several years ago and by chance they were there promoting the release of Metal Gear Solid 4. So I shook their hands and got my copy of the game signed by them.

It also fitting to be doing an MGS series now with the release of The Phantom Pain coming in a few months but most of all, like the FFVII series, this is just to share my views and art with other fans of the games.

So go ahead and take a look.

*Some of the images, particularly the three at the end, don’t really correspond to the story as the soundtrack added one song for the VR missions and two remixes from the trailers.
