Introduction

• The portrayal of men in art and design had evolved over the years in many ways. One theme we have observed is that the portrayal of men in art hasn’t changed much. Men still remain to be seen as masculine, aggressive, powerful and in control of their situation.

• Throughout the history of art, male subjects have maintained their roles of power. While the scenery and backdrops have changed, the subjects remain the same: dominant, powerful, intense males.
