I qualified for regional's all 4 years in cross country and won the district title 4 years in a row.

Leadership

**RYLA selects students who stand out as being leaders and helps aid in developing their leadership potential.

I was elected to be on the high school leadership class where we learned how our community worked.

I was also invited to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA).**

Work ExperienceI worked at Town & Country Cleaners from 2007-2012.

I learned the difficulties of operating a business working under my father.

I learned valuable skills such as how to manage over employees and working towards production goals.

Traveling

I was invited to go on a trip with other promising students in my area to travel around Europe.

We visited destinations such as Paris, London, Normandy and Mont St-Michel.

Texas Tech

I joined PFPA in Fall of 2012 and immediately joined the publicity committee.

My duties on the publicity committee were to make flyers for upcoming events as well as help expand the PFP program.

In Spring of 2013, I ran for the PFPA Alumni Liaison and won.

Also in the Spring of 2013, I applied for the Accelerated bachelors to masters program in PFP.

Texas Tech

In 2010, I became a student at Texas Tech University.

I made the Dean’s list in the Spring of 2011 and the Fall of 2012.

In Spring 2011, I changed majors to PFP and began to take PFP courses in Fall 2012.

I Want to be a Financial Planner

I have always had a desire to help those who need it if it was possible to do and financial planning offers just that.

I have always enjoyed giving advice to those who need it and see the relief on their face when they realize they are going to be okay.

Financial planning is a booming field and the need for financial planning is likely to increase in the coming years.

Ambitions

After graduation, I want to obtain the CFP® designation as soon as I can.

I also hope to one day be able to open up my own financial planning firm.

I hope to be a valuable asset for the firm that I work for as well as a trusted employee by my fellow colleagues.
