Recording & its issues- Did it indoors – quieter

- Sat on tables as chairs were noisy and the mic picked up the slightest sounds

- had to be careful with mic

Main tools we used - Multiband compressor

-Parametric EQ

- 30 band Graphic EQ

30 band Graphic EQ

- used to adjust frequency at 30 different points

- get rid of unwanted sounds

- had to use it carefully, as changing the sound too much can affect the pitch.

Parametric EQ

Multiband Compressor

- mainly used as a visual representation of the sound, to help us adjust using the 30 band EQ

- could see in real time how the levels were changing

Problems whilst editing

Software Crashed

- we continuously saved any progress we made

- did lose any work

- reminded us to keep backing up and saving

Garageband

Once our editing was complete, we listened through what we had and it sounded good but felt as if something was missing.

So we did some research amd realized that we could add some additional background music, as some interviews have them playing at a low level to break the silence.

So we thought we could use something similar in our project

We got the inspiration to add sound from these two videos which we came around.

They both utilise sound in different ways, but have them relatively running through out the entire video and we did not want to do that as it would distract the audience, so we are going to add it only for a small section of our project.
