This is my medium close up. The person in the image is the same age as the people the magazine is aimed at, and so I think this will encourage students to pick the magazine up. I began by cropping the picture and using curves.

I then chose a suitable mast heading that was bold and stood out. I also put the heading at a slight angle so show the “young” style I was aiming for.

I then used layer style and stroke to add a coloured out line to the header. Before adding a background using brushes.

I then added a label behind the image of MCU, I then added colour using style, I also change the outline of the header to a brighter colour. I believe that changing these colours will make it more eye catching to the reader.

Here I added a barcode to the bottom left corner; I took this from a website I found on www.google.co.uk. I believe this gives a more realistic feel to the magazine.

Here I added three more labels to the cover all on different layers and all using bright coloured outlines, this was to give more information to the reader in a striking way that was still easy to read way.

Here is the final print screen for my magazine. I feel I could have done better by having a more colourful background as there are a lot of black and dark shades of blue.
