The yellow balloons in my music video are a symbol of hope and happiness. The colour yellow connotes hope and happiness, as well as comfort and love. This therefore inspired my concept where the main actress is passing the balloons to strangers; metaphorically 'spreading hope’

In this close-up shot of the actress hands, she is playing with the string of the yellow balloon. This close up emphasises her innocent nature, and highlights her happiness, because the yellow of the string is clearly shown.

The music video location is set in a open park, with lots of trees and grass to emphasise the aspect of nature within the music video. The concept of the video is very sweet and innocent, therefore I wanted the location to furthermore represent this. I decided on using a park, because it is very open and free, and symbolises the characteristics of the main character.

I chose to include several shots of key pieces of clothing associated with my genre, Indie/rock. Therefore I chose to show a close-up of my actress wearing converse trainers and also a panning shot from her feet to the balloons she was holding in order to show her entire outfit, including her skinny jeans, as these are also worn frequently by audiences interested in the Indie/rock genre.

I chose to also shoot an over-the-shoulder shot in order for the audience to see the park (with all the balloons in) from her perspective, and also to provide a wider variety of shots so the audience can take in the whole location.
