planning decisions.

Lana Del Ray- “Blue Jeans”
• This music video inspired one of our locations, which was the media studio in college. This is because of the way it was filmed in the dark, which gives it a more spooky affect.
• Here is the music video :)

Camera Work
• The camera uses many shots and angles in this music video. For example high angles are used when the artist is laying down. This may be used to portray her as a vulnerable character. Close ups are used to show the emotion and expression on the artists face. Additionally shots such as mid shots and long shots are used to show the location of the music video.

Camera work
• Firstly the camera uses many close ups on the artists’ face as it is clearly portraying the emotion and expression of the artist. Additionally the camera uses long shots to clearly show the whole location. Furthermore mid shots are used in this music video to show both the setting and artist. High and low angles are also used to portray how vulnerable or how powerful a person is and in this video it clearly uses high angles to portray the artist as a vulnerable character.

Editing
• This video isn’t edited much however one obvious edit is the slow motion used nearly throughout the music video. This could be added in to engage the audience more. Examples of when slow motion is used is at the beginning of the video of the sea and also when the cars are crashing into each other.

Marina and the diamonds- “Primadonna”
• This music video was the biggest inspiration out of all three music videos, this is because Marina is the artist for the song we have chosen to remake for our own music video. We took inspiration from one of her costumes in “Primadonna” which was the pjs and rollers in her hair as we think this fit perfectly with our music video.

Camera work
• The camera work used in this music video is very good as extreme close ups and close ups are used throughout to show the heart on the artists’ cheek. The camera also uses long shots to show the whole setting and wide shots and mid shots are also used.

Editing • It is difficult to tell how this music video has been
edited as the video is very fast however there are some scene where the whole thing is black and white. This is a obvious edit however seems very pointless.
