Me, Myself and I

My PhilosophyI believe:• Life is to be enjoyed! Everyone should set goals and

strive to achieve them• The Environment is central to all life, to our well-being

and thus requires care.• Children are entertaining, can be surprising, are often

underestimated. They are our greatest resource for the future.

• Learning is individual; starts from day one and never stops: if people are not learning they are closed minded.

• Schools are the key for any community, a good school reflects a good community and it's needs.

Following Are Some of the Things I Will Share About Myself

• I was born in Paeroa and lived on a dairy farm until I was eight.

Parents

• I owe a lot to my parents. They had a major influence on my life.

• Dad loved farming and was very community minded.

• He loved sport and excelled in rugby and cricket. Later on he played bowls, which he also did well at.

• He did a range of jobs including delivering milk, rearing chickens and pigs.

• My mum is South African. Dad had to teach her how to cook. Mum was a qualified nurse and when she first came to New Zealand worked at the Thames Hospital.

• If I could be compared favourably with my parents, then I would be very proud.

Our House on the Farm• We use to jump out of the bedroom

window thinking that it was sooooo high and we were very brave.

• I have a younger brother and an older sister. I sometimes suffer from ‘middle child syndrome’.

Moving Around

• From Paeroa we moved to KatiKati where we lived on an orchard. After that we had a couple of years at Te Puna, finally settling in Omokoroa, which was a great place to grow up because of the sea.

Things That Make Me Smile

• Being on the water, swimming, skiing or fishing.

• Being with my family and my friends

• Knowing that someone that I have taught has found their talent

• When someone surprises me by doing the unexpected.

• Eating

Goal Keepers are Incredible People

• … and a little crazy!!

Hockey has been good to me!!! I have made friends and travelled a lot because of it. I believe you can apply what you learn through playing sport, to other areas of your life.

Animals!!

• I wish I could live on a farm and have chickens and cows, donkeys, camels ….

Travelling

• I have been to a few countries and have a goal to travel to South Africa and Europe in the next five years.

That’s Abit About Me

• P.S: I hate heights.
