Unfailingly Intrigued While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly

shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter on my afternoon rounds. She was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs. One day I found her staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself for the inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned and whispered, "The tooth fairy will never believe this!"

Mary was having problems selling her car, because it had more than 200,000 miles on it. Her friend told her:

“There’s a way of making the car easier to sell, but it’s not legal.”“It doesn’t matter,” replied Mary, “if only I can sell it.”“Okay,” said the friend. “This the address of someone who owns a car

repair shop. If you tell him that I sent you, he will turn the counter in your car back to 50,000 miles. Then it should not be a problem to sell.”

The next week Mary took her car to the repair shop. About one month later, her friend asked her:
