Art ,Theatre Art, and Drama classes will soon begin a mural on the back wall of our building. Teen
Power, a community service club at McGary has acquired an Opportunity grant through Arts Council of
Southwestern Indiana to fund the project. In the mural, students will include visions for future gen-
erations while celebrating family and culture, in a peaceful, productive, prideful,
and respectful world. Students will add personal touches that reflect the positive voice of students who
attend McGary. The mural will also celebrate the diversity of nationalities presented
in their neighborhood. Students are very proud of their accomplishments at McGary and their heritage;
by visualizing this in the mural it will improve self-confidence of future students as
well as those who attended McGary in the past.
