What is the CommunityLeadership Programme?

This award winning Mary Seacoleinitiative has been designed to enhancefaith leaders knowledge of the healthand care system.

The aim is to provide faith leaders withthe information they need so that theycan effectively navigate the health andcare system, influence decision makingand improve access to health and careservices for their congregates and localcommunity.

Why develop this programme?

Faith Based organisations areimportant institutions in the Caribbeanand African Community and one wherepeople feel they can go to for guidance.It is therefore important that our faithleaders are equipped with knowledgeof the health and care system andservices so that they are able to provideguidance and support to theircongregates and local community.

Empowering faith leaders withknowledge to improve access tohealth and care services

• Presentations by leaders from across health and care services • Attendance at a one day workshop • Discussions using real life case scenarios• Networking• Two one hour follow up focus group discussions 6 weeks apart. Dates to be confirmed• Refreshments will be provided during each event
