Murder Mystery During the performance of the play, “Library Games,” the audience had witnessed each of the murder scenes on computer which were projected onto an overhead projector machine. In order to solve the crime, the audience were sent on a cyber chase using the Murder Mystery blog and the library card catalogue. One audience member had to look the clue up on the computer while the others wrote down the location of the clue. In this exercise they all learned how to use the card catalogues and computers better for future convenience. We had Emily video record the whole play.

• Blogs such as the Murder Mystery Blog, Library Tips Blog, and the Winter Reading Family Day Social Blog were created for the enjoyment of patrons and all those who are curious about following the library online. They are also a creative way to inform patrons about events and on going activities which the library is involved in.

Trickster CoyoteWe also hosted a birthday party on this day. Once the party was over, we went out and ran the craft tables. Our job was to help children glue, hole punch, and thread a craft, as well as tying beads and feathers, and using stamp pads because we didn’t want them to mix the colours together and ruin the ink pads.

Family Day Social

For the family day social, Carol and I ran the comic book workshop table. Basically, we helped children come up with story ideas, then draw them. We also helped them write and glue on the speech bubbles and then put their work together to look nice.

Family Day Social For the family day social I helped run the

mascot store with Jacie. Which was a table that we had set up and bought tiny little things like candy, toys, etc. for people to come and buy during the social, we sold the objects for 10 cents a thing, and they could take home with them what they bought after the social was over.

Trickster Coyote During trickster Coyote I helped to run a birthday that we

entertained kids for an hour and then took them out to the puppet show for them to watch. After the puppet show was over I helped to run the craft tables, where after the stories about trickster coyote were told, the kids and their parents could come and make crafts about some of the animals that were mentioned during the stories. I helped the children who needed help assembling the crafts and helping to instruct people on what they could be making as crafts.
