Parking Freeze Districts
Established in 1973 by the EPA, the Downtown Freeze caps “public parking” or fee parking at 35,000
Imposed by DEP in 1993 the South Boston Freeze caps all parking (except new residential at 1 space/unit) with an additional 3,000 spaces to accommodate development
The East Boston Freeze is administered by Massport to mange airport related parking
