Making Of Pulse Logo
I started off by creating a new template.
I then chose the shape tool.
To get the line up, I had to click and hold on the shape tool.
I drew the line and added a drop shadow.
To add the drop shadow, I double clicked on the layerand and chose the drop shadow setting.
I played about with all the settings until I got what I wanted.
I then added another lineusing the line tool.
I did the same with that line and added in a drop shadow, I tied to get the settings the same.
Then I created another line and my first letter was made.
I did the same to create the rest of my letters.
I then changed the colour, and used the line tool to create a pulse, like seen on a heart monitor.
I again chose another colour and went around the first line using the line tool.
I went round it in another colour using the line tool.
Looking at my logo I wasn’t sure if it was working, so I got some feedback and they agreed with me, therefore I chose the text tool to create some text.
Once the text had been written I used the character and paragraph tool to edit my text.
I opened up this menu and started to test out the different setting.
First I chose a text from the list.
Once I finished with the editing of my text, I wanted to make it more colourful to match my colour scheme, I used the paint bucket to do so.
I also selected the colour I wanted using this tool.
I started to test out different patterns andsee what colours worked well.
I chose this set of coloursas it matches my scheme and it looked good.
Again I wasn’t sure so again I got feedback, the audience told me that I should change it again.I used the text tool again to do so.
I chose this text and this colour.
I wanted to put a style on the text so I went to layer.
Layer styles which gives me a list of different things I can do.
I then chose drop shadow again, I did this because I liked the look of it from the previous logo I made.
I then went through the settingschoosing the ones which I liked best.
At first I left the colour as black and didn’t touch the blend mode.
I played with the opacitywhich faded the log a little.
Here are the three logos I created.
I then played with the distance,of the drop shadow.
This made the shadow comefurther away from the text.
Spread was the next setting.
This changed the thickness of the shadow .
Then came size, which played with the size of the shadow.
Here’s the size fully increased.
I wasn’t sure what the noise of the shadow was so I played about with it to find out.
It made it go black and white like seen to the left.
Once I had adjusted all of the settings to how I wanted them I went back and changed the colour.
To change the colour I used this tool.
This is what the logo looked like after I had finished with the settings.
I then had to adjust the lines which I created, this isbecause the text I had has changed.
I kept the same colours that I had because the audience told me that it worked well.
This was the finished logo, I added in a background as I thought it made the colors stand out more.
Here is some feedback that I got from a peer member.
