History of Madeley CourtBought from the crown in 1544 by Robert brook who was later to become speaker of the house of commons, Madeley court saw many owners and many changes, as it grew fromits original beginnings several hundred years ago. Madeley Court’s most prominent resident was Abraham Derby, builder of the worlds firstiron bridge, spent his final years before his death in 1717 www.british-history.a.uk
Civil CeremoniesThe Mecure Madeley Court Hotel is licensed forCivil Ceremonies in several rooms. The Mill is suitedto larger ceremonies up to 150 guests, where as the Priory room has a more historic theme and canaccommodate ceremonies up to 80 guests. Finally there is the Abraham Derby Room which has been designed to be more contemporary which canhold up to 60 guests.
