We believe that as architects we have a responsibility to help lead the way wherever and whenever we can, especially in close co-operation with like-minded consultants and specialists.

2nd floor apartment in Kensington, LondonA complete re-modeling of a south-facing, second floor apartment in

a Victorian townhouse, into a contemporary, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat for a young, professional couple.

This completely re-modeled apartment features south-facing living and dining rooms, underfloor heating and a solid oak floor throughout.

A whole-house heat recovery system with filtered fresh air ventilation was discretely installed.

Three metre high, maple-veneered, solid doors maximised the penetration of sunshine and daylight throughout the apartment, giving it a clean and simple, contemporary feel.

The master bedroom features an internal obscured glazed screen which allows daylight into the en-suite bathroom without any loss of privacy.

The kitchen is open-plan to the living and dining rooms whilst a serving shelf offers discrete visual separation.

Clever use of space allowed the creation of a much needed second bathroom behind a frameless sliding glass door. Again daylight can enter what would otherwise have been an internal room.
