I wanted to move away from the current style being used to promote the LSAD in order to give the University a bolder and clearer identity inspired by the building’s architecture which I’ve studied and been inspired by, and to put my own stylistic stamp on it all.
So for the promotional material I’ve come up with a new typographic and visual approach that mirrors the buildings clean, modern and minimalist interior combined with it’s strong architectural exterior...

The Replica type family was created in 2009 by Lineto type foundry.
My reasons for adopting this type family is to reference the clean cut modern look of the LSAD building. Replica has subtle touches to the edges of some letterforms which make it much more interesting and modern, like the structure of the LSAD building.
I currently only have the Bold ver-sion of Replica so for the promotion-al and potential future art direction of the ADA to stay fluid and consist-ent I will require funding to attain the other type weights.
