Tower Bridge

Tower of London Historic fortress monument in

the River Thames.

The oldest building used by the

British government.

It used to be a fortress, then a royal

palace, and after that a prison.

Since 1303, it has been the home of

the Crown Jewels of the United

Kingdom.

It turns slow enough for people

to embark while it’s moving.

A complete turn takes about 30

minutes

There’s a beautiful view over

London from there.

It’s located by the river Thames.

It’s 135 meters high.

Seat of the two houses of the Parliament

of the United Kingdom —the House of

Lords and the House of Commons.

It’s in the north bank of the River

Thames, in the heart of the London, next

to of the City of Westminster.

Wellington Arch, Hyde

Park

I. This is a triumphal arch located to the south of Hyde Park in central London.

II. It was planned in 1825 by George IV to commemorate Britain's victories in the Napoleonic Wars.

III. Originally it was a grand entrance to Buckingham Palace.

IV. Inside the Arch, three floors of exhibits tell its fascinating history.

Trafalgar Square

– A square in central London.– A tourist attraction; and one of the most famous squares in the United Kingdom and the world. – At its centre is Nelson's Column, which is guarded by four lion statues at its base. There are two fountains in each part of the square and four lions. –There’s also the National Gallery.

Royal Albert Hall

It’s an arts venue situated in the

Knightsbridge area of the City of

Westminster, best known for holding the

annual summer Proms concerts since

1941.

The official London residence of the British monarch. Located in the City of Westminster. The state rooms, used for official and state entertaining, are open to the public each year for most of August and September, as part of the Palace's Summer Opening.

Buckingham Palace

The Regent’s Park Is one of the Royal Parks of London. It is in the northern part of central London. This is not the most important park but I love it because of the flowers and plants. It contains Regent's College and the London Zoo. Henry VIII appropriated The Regent's Park for use as a hunting ground. Many sports are played in the park.

St. James Palace

a. One of London's oldest palaces.

b. It is situated in Pall Mall, just north of St.

James's Park.

c. The palace was commissioned by Henry

VIII, on the site of a former leper

hospital dedicated to Saint James the

Less; the hospital was disbanded in

1532.

d. The new palace was constructed in the

red-brick Tudor style.

King's Cross station is a central London railway terminus opened in 1852. The station is located in Central London.

Platform 9 3/4

This is famous because Harry Potter used this platform at King's Cross Station to get to Hogwarts.

It takes place in the forecourt of

Buckingham Palace at 11.30 every

day, and lasts about 45 minutes.

In very wet weather Changing the

Guard at Buckingham Palace don’t

take place.

In summer they wear that red clothes

but in winter they wear some black

clothes.
