In the middle of the hike when we turn around we’ll see the foundation

of an old homestead.

Because of the water, we’ll see ponderosa pines, which are rare in the

desert.

People have been using Pine Creek for possibly thousands of years!

What’s special about Pine Creek?

The start of the trail

The beginning is steep. Be careful!

There are some interesting rocks along the

way

It’ll be more flat from now on

The trail keeps going

Here’s an old gate from the homestead

Through the gate and down the trail

Can you tell where water might be?

We’re almost done

Just have to make it back up the hill!

You can do it!

We made it!

Now it’s the lizard’s turn to hike!
