After downloading your Trial or Purchase, follow these simple steps to start managing all of your
Employee Onboarding needs:
ADD THE APP
1) From your Site Contents (in the site you wish to utilize to manage your employee onboarding
processes) select the Add an app icon.
2) Locate the newly added app under Apps you can add.
3) Trust It to allow the app to build the required lists, and then access those lists from the
associated app part later.

SETUP THE APP & CONFIGURE YOUR ENVIRONMENT
1) Once back in your Site Contents open your new SP Employee Onboarding app.
2) In the app, select Setup Lists to add the lists that will be used.
3) To confirm, select Setup.

4) Please allow the process to complete Loading before moving on. It won’t take long at all.
5) In the Page you would like to use to copy standard tasks to a new onboarding record, add
the SP Employee Onboarding App Part.

6) Save the page when you’ve completed.
7) Your App Part should now be on the page.

8) Finally, use the LIST ribbon item in the Employee OnBoards list, to edit the Display and Edit
Forms. Add the Related List web part in each form to display the associated tasks.

9) Stop Editing when you’ve completed.

USING SP EMPLOYEE ONBOARDING
1) First, create the categories for standard tasks you will use such as: Onboard, Offboard, Transfer,
Terminate, etc in the OnBoard Task Categories list.
2) Now, in the Standard OnBoard Tasks, create the standard tasks you will use repeatedly when
you perform one of the processes covered by your newly created OnBoard Task Categories. Be
sure to include the lookup item in the OnBoard Task Categories.

3) Included already for your benefit, a By Category view has been created to help you manage your
categories.

NOW YOU’RE READY TO START ONBOARDING!
4) Employee onboarding is managed in the Employee OnBoards list. Create a new item in this list
to start managing an onboard project.

5) Use the App Part you added earlier to copy tasks to this item.

6) VOILA! Your tasks are copied, the Assigned To personnel emailed, and all without having to a
bunch of unnecessary work!
