We love to talk about the weather.

Sunny – Today is sunny.When it is sunny, what do you like

to do?

Cloudy - It’s a cloudy day.

• On a cloudy day, I think I’ll go visit a friend.• When it is cloudy, what can you do?

Partly sunny -

• It is partly sunny. I think I’ll go to the park.• What do you do when it is partly sunny?

Foggy. Today is foggy.

• I think I’ll stay home. What do you do when it is foggy?

Raining. It is raining today.

• It is raining. They need umbrellas.• What do you do when it is raining?

Lightening. It is lightening.

• I think I’ll stay home today.

Hot. It’s hot today.

• It is 90 degrees. It is hot.• What do you like to do when it is hot?

Cool….It is cool today.

• It is 60 degrees today. It is cool. I need a sweater.

Cold. It is cold today.

• It is 30 degrees so it is cold today. The boy needs a coat and hat. How cold does it get in your city?

Freezing. It is freezing today.

• It is 0 degrees. It is freezing outside. What do you do when it is freezing?

Smoggy. It is smoggy today.

• It is smoggy in large cities. Los Angeles, California, is often smoggy.

• Is it ever smoggy in your city?

Hail

• During a storm, there can be hail. Hail is ice that falls from the sky.

Sky The sky is blue.

Temperature

• The temperature today is 80. It is warm today. I think I’ll go to the beach. What do you do on a warm day?
