Overview• Listening Success is a five-book series covering a wide variety of topics which reinforce language patterns
typically used in everyday situations• The series is designed to help elementary and early middle school students to improve their English listening
comprehension
• Learners become familiar with common phrases, expressions, and functional language patterns through the multiple dialogs

Pre-listening Warm-up:Example sentences presents a focus on key functional and grammatical lan-guage targets of the unit
Pre-listening Warm-up:A matching activity helps consolidating the examples from the target language
Pre-listening Warm-up:A communicative activity giving stu-dents a chance to orally practice the language targets of the unit
Student BookListening 1:Students brainstorm some of the vocabulary related to the illustra-tions and photos before listening to the audio track
Listening 1:Part B is designed for repeated lis-tening in order to allow students to experience the benefits of repetitive practice
Listening 1:Students are required to listen to questions or statements in order to complete the activity in Part C
Student BookListening 2:Students repeat the process of listening to the audio related to the vocabulary and il-lustrations, but this time in a new context
Listening 2:Students recall the information provided from the audio track for Part A and use it to fill-in-the-blanks and complete the sen-tences in Part B
Listening 2:Students think about the information heard in parts A and B and then complete the comprehension questions in Part C based on what they remember
Student BookListening 3:Students listen once again to the audio for Part A to help them consolidate the vocabu-lary and target language in a new context
Listening 3:The dialog from Part A is recycled to help students identify the ‘True’ or ‘False’ state-ments in Part B
Listening 3:In books 1-3, students choose words or phrases to complete the sentences. In Books 4 and 5, this activity focuses on a simple writing task for additional writing support

Unit Test:The unit test has five audio tracks that need to be played consecutively (A-E). This will help students to de-velop their test-taking skills as they complete each unit. Ultimately these tests will help check student’s progress while allow them to identify key information through listening skills.
Dictation Book & TranscriptsThe Dictation Book can be used for assigning homework or supplemental activities to do in class. Each book of this series comes with Transcripts and Dictation Books.
Partial Dictation:• Students practice additional listening and writ -
ing skills in the Dictation Book by completing supplemental activities such as blank filling, note-taking, and test question types.
Team Quizzes:• Teachers can also assign quizzes based on the
unit the class had studied that day. Additional language-learning skills such as reading, speak-ing, and writing can also be revised through these supplemental activities
Tracking progressMonitor learner’s progress with the Teacher’s Report. Metrics on student performance are provided in a clear and simple way. It’s easy to register and submit answers.
