• Uranus fears his children’s power so he enslaves everyone besides Cronus into Tartarus
Gaia Creates an indestructible sickle for Cronus, which he uses to castrate Uranus
Cronus and Rhea become the royal couple
• He was warned by his parents that one of his children will depose him just as he deposed Uranus, so he decides to eat all his children after they are born
Cronus doesn’t eat Zeus because Rhea gives him a rock instead and she sends Zeus on an island Crete to grow and get strong
Zeus grows and returns to overthrow his father
