11  Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. 12  Live

such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they

may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

13  Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme

authority, 14  or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to

commend those who do right.

15  For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. 16  Live as free men, but do not use

your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.

17  Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor

the king.

1. Get focused – What’s going on today?.

encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

2. Get Thankful – List at least five things you are

thankful for.

all. The Lord is near.

3. Get Connected - Your prayer focus, requests,

impressions, etc.

9  "This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10  your kingdom come, your will be done on

earth as it is in heaven.

4. Get Dressed - Your current

spiritual/relational/emotional battles.

12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the

authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil

in the heavenly realms.

13  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be

able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14  Stand firm

then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of

righteousness in place,

15  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16  In

addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming

arrows of the evil one.

17  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in

mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

5. Get Encouraging - The people you are going to

encourage, bless, and pray for today.

4  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

6. Get R Done - Live as a Disciple today by trying to

do the next right thing!

given to you as well.

12  So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up

the Law and the Prophets.

7. Get R Done? - Throughout the day and at

the end of the day, reflect on how you did as a Disciple for

the day.

easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
