Life at St Joseph’s!
Reception
In Reception we have a lot of fun. I love it!
Our teacher Mrs Knott is amazing! Our class is the
best.
Class 2 = year 1 & 2
It’s really fun because we get to play with our friends.
Mrs Park is really funny!
In our class we do fun activities like: computing, golden time and a lot more. Mrs Park is really nice. All of the children in our class are very kind.
Infants
In the infant play ground they have a lot of different games on the ground. They have a maze, a hop scotch, snakes and ladders, and a car race track.
Class 3 = year 3 & 4
Mrs Culshaw is epic and cool. She helps you when you’re stuck and she makes boring lessons fun!
In class 3 it's fun because you get to learn new things in an exiting way.
Class 4 = year 5 & 6
In class 4 it is AMAZING! we have a lot of fun lessons. Mrs Roberts is the best teacher you can have. She loves to help you, but she can be a bit moody.
Juniors
In the junior play ground we have a netball court, football court, and an adventure play ground where we can play on the equipment or just play on the spongy tarmac in the middle.
Our school preparing to do a sponsored fun run to raise money for charity!
Staff
The staff at are school are very nice. They work really hard to come up with our spectacular lessons. Every day they come to school early and set up our class rooms ready for the day ahead.
Forest school
Every Friday at 10:30am a children go out side in to our outdoor forest area to do forest school. In forest you do different activities about keeping safe in the outdoor world. We have a hut were you gather to talk about what you are going to do in your lesson.
Church
As a catholic school at the end of every year we take a trip to our church. It is quite big and our Priest Father Raphael is very kind to us.
School dinnersEvery day our lovely cooks Mrs Dewhurst and Mrs Fawcett work hard to create our delicious lunches. Every day we have a different variety of meals that all the children enjoy.
SATS
The week starting with the 11th of May and finishing on the 14th of May. The year sixes were under a lot of pressure
because they did SATS! I’m sure they have done well but all the rest of the classes had to be really quite so we did not
disturb them.
SATs are tests that all Year 6 children have to complete before they leave primary
school. They test how well children can read, write and do maths.
