Mr. Liew Yong Seong graduated with a Bachelor and Master Degree in Structural Engineering. He is currently the technical director of Advance Contech (S) Pte. Ltd. He supports and trains clients from local and international consulting and construction firms in using advanced engineering software solutions to streamline design and construction processes of high-rise, reinforced concrete and steel structures with or without post-tensioning and precast components. Over the years of support and training, he has assisted many engineers in solving and fixing modelling and design problems. He is also currently the Regional Representative of prestigious engineering software developers, Forum8 (Japan), RISA Technology (USA) and SE CAD Software -- the world first integrated Analysis, Design and Detailing System for Precast Building Structures.

In-situ RC construction

Dependent of foreign labors Slow and weather dependent Wastage of materials Difficult quality control Environmental issue Non-systematic and messy

>> Solution : use of prefabrication (precast) technology!
