Let Your Life CountChapter 9

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Phil 3:2

Have you ever felt someone was not up to a particular task

and they surprised you by accomplishing it?

Who encourages YOU to let your life count?

“Your lack of qualifications may be the very thing that

makes you MOST qualified to let your life count in the real

world, where ordinary people live.”

Noah was 600 years old when the flood came.

Mary was around13 years old when she became the mother

of Jesus.

David was the youngest son, yet he became King.

Shepherds were the first people that God announced the birth of His son to...yet

they were considered low on the social totem pole.

Peter was a gruff, outspoken fisherman.

Rahab was a prostitute.

Is there a “younger woman” that you are “training”?

(Titus 2:3-5)

Have you ever grown spiritually when you were helping another to grow

spiritually?

God meets us where we are, but loves us too much to leave

us there.-- Donna Partow

Shepherd Boy

Words and Music by Ray Boltz and Steve Millikan

One by one Jesse's sonsStood before the prophetTheir father knew a king

Would soon be foundAnd each one passed

Except the lastNo one thought to call him

Surely he would neverWear a crown

But when others see a shepherd boyGod may see a king

Even though your life seems filledWith ordinary things

In just a moment He can touch youAnd everything will change

When others see a shepherd boyGod may see a king

One by one problems comeAnd dreams get shatteredAnd sometimes it's hard

To understandBut things like chance

And circumstanceThey don't really matter

Our Father holds tomorrowIn His hands

Well it wasn't the oldestIt wasn't the strongestChosen on that day

And yet the giants fellAnd nations trembled

When they stood in his way

But when others see a shepherd boyGod may see a king

Even though your life seems filledWith ordinary things

In just a moment He can touch youAnd everything will change

When others see a shepherd boyGod may see a king

How can YOU Let Your Life Count

This Week?
