LESSON PRESENTATION
The recorder comes in three separate pieces. 1. Mouthpiece2. Body3. Foot Joint

Connect the Mouthpiece
(#1) and the
Body (#2) together with a
little twist.
Make sure the holes are aligned.
Finally, twist on the foot joint
(#3) placing the holes slightly to
the right.
Proper hand position:
LEFT HAND• Place your left
hand on the top of the recorder.
• Place your left
thumb on the back hole.
• Left hand fingers (#1,2 and 3) are placed on the top 3 holes of the recorder.
LEFT HAND
Proper hand position:
RIGHT HAND
• Place your right pointer finger on whole #4.
• Middle finger on whole #5.
• Ring finger on whole #6.
RIGHT HAND
Take 3 minutes to…• figure out how to create a sound• how to create different pitches (high, middle and low)• be prepared to verbalize your discoveries
