Within the workplace, jargon is specialized language that is specific to a certain industry or field. Technical terms are more formal and may be specific to a certain field or used across many industries.

By learning the meaning of jargon and technical terms used within the field you work, it is easier to understand workplace communications and respond to them appropriately.
