Personal ProfileLeonardo Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy and

died May 2, 1519 Amboise, France.

He was raised by his single father. He never married or had children.

Before Leonardo da Vinci became a scientist he worked as a painter, sculptor, inventor and draftsmen. When he was a painter he

painted Virgin of the Rocks, The Last Supper, Leda and the Swan and the Mona Lisa and it took him about ten years to paint the Mona

Lisa's lips.

Other FactsLeonardo da Vinci was left handed and was

one of the first Italians to use oil paint. Leonardo da Vinci had dyslexia, when he

made notes on his inventions it was all written in reverse, which made it hard for others to dig through his notes and steal

his ideas.Da Vinci also dug through the grave yard and

stole human bones to study human anatomy.
