Lens Worksheet 2
Hold a converging lens in front of a sheet of card or paper. Move it closer or further away from the paper until a sharp focused image of the windows is produced.
The focal length is the distance between the lens and the screen (when a focused image of a distant object is produced).
1. The image is:
a) real virtual
b) magnified reduced
c) the right way up inverted
(Note: a real image can be projected on to a screen, a virtual image cannot.)
2. Complete the table for at least two different lenses.
