SYLVANIA OCTRON 800 XP XL SUPERSAVER
ECOLOGIC3 lamps are now available in 2
and 3-ft lengths in addition to the 4-ft lamps
accepted in last year’s Report. They feature
up to 75,000 hours life on instant start bal-
lasts and 84,000 hours life on programmed-
start ballasts.
OSRAM SYLVANIA introduces DULUX T/E/
IN/XL extended life triple tube compact fluo-
rescent lamps with 30,000 hours average
rated life, representing a 67 percent increase
over standard lamps. They are available in
full wattage and SUPERSAVER versions.
GE Lighting has announced the first ENERGY
STAR 100-W general purpose omnidirection-
al LED lamp to achieve 100 lumens per watt.
It emulates incandescent at 2700K and 82
CRI, and is compatible with most dimmers.
Green Creative has developed an A19 dim-
mable 60-W replacement at 89 LPW. Efficacy
is 62 percent higher than what is required by
ENERGY STAR. The A-lamp design fits most
fixtures.
Green Creative has achieved an efficacy
of 68 lumens per watt for an MR16, 20-W
replacement. This is the first 20-W LED MR16
suitable for use in enclosed fixtures.
OSRAM SYLVANIA has added several new
wattages to the LUMALUX PLUS XL family
of high pressure sodium lamps accepted in
last year’s Report. These carry the industry’s
longest average life rating at 80,000 hours,
plus non-cycling and instant re-light features.
Philips has introduced their Twice the Life T8
lamps that extend the life of energy-saving
25 and 28-W lamps to 90,000 hours. This is a
94 percent increase in lamp life compared to
32-W T8 lamps. The lamps also incorporate
the low mercury ALTO technology and have
a 96 percent lumen maintenance.
The only universal voltage 120 to 277V, Tier 1,
A19, 60-W LED lamp is available from Green Creative. It consumes 9 watts, is omnidirec-
tional and has an efficacy of 89 LPW.
Green Creative has introduced a 7-W LED
MR16 with an efficacy of 80 lumens per watt.
It is the first to be suitable for fully enclosed
fixtures and produces 560 lumens.

The Cloud lamp from Green Creative uses
8 watts at 81 lumens per watt and replaces
a 65-W BR30 incandescent. The unique
plastic body uses 35 percent less material,
and the weight has been reduced by 50
percent.
Lunera Lighting has introduced the Susan
Lamp, which is the first LED replacement
lamp that operates on existing metal halide
ballasts. It makes lamp conversion easy with
a simple screw-in replacement and lasts
50,000 hours.
This Soraa full visible spectrum lamp is the
industry’s first GaN on GaN 120/230V GU10
dimmable 10-deg spot lamp. This MR16
replacement features 95 CRI with an R9 of 95
and CCTs from 2700 to 5000K.
ESPEN Technology introduces RetroFlex
LED T8 lamps that are meant to replace T8
fluorescent lamps and operate on most fluo-
rescent ballasts with no rewiring required.
The lamps feature a unique seamless glass
tube design for superior optical performance.
The Cree XLamp XP-L LED is the first com-
mercially available single-die LED to achieve
an efficacy of up to 200 lumens per watt at
350 milliamps. It delivers up to 1226 lumens
in a 3.45 millimeter square package.
The Fortimo DLM Gen 4 is the first LED prod-
uct for use in downlights that offers compli-
ance to UL991, enabling a fixture design
without additional thermal protection. It uti-
lizes a thermal sensing circuit, and provides
efficacies up to 120 lumens per watt.
The world’s first Gallium Nitride-on-Silicon
LED PAR38 lamp for commercial lighting
applications was introduced by Lattice Power. This retrofit lamp features up to 2000
lumens without the need for active cooling
due to the innovative thermal pipe heatsink.
The first 8000-lumen LED module has been
introduced by Cree, Inc. It is designed to
replace 150-W ceramic metal halide and
features 90 CRI, 80 LPW and three color
temperatures.
The smallest LED to enable 50-W halogen
performance, the XM-L2 EasyWhite from
Cree Inc. delivers more than 1100 lumens
from a 5 millimeter by 5 millimeter package.
It is a drop-in upgrade for the first-generation
XM-L EasyWhite with a 38 percent gain in
light output and efficacy.

SYLVANIA ULTRA PRO HD LED PAR lamps
are now available with a CRI of 93 and fea-
ture R9 values of up to 75, meeting California
Title 24 requirements. They are available in
PAR20, PAR30 and PAR38 types.
Flip Chip from Luxeon is the world’s first
chip-scale packaged LED that can be directly
surface mount reflowed onto a luminaire
board. This enables phosphor/package
design freedom and collapse multi-level
integration for differentiated products.
The OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Soleriq P9
chip-on-board LED delivers up to 2000 lumens
from a light emitting diameter of 9 millimeters,
facilitating very high centerbeam candlepow-
er with diminutive optics. They are available in
a full range of CCTs and up to 90 CRI.
The Xicato XIM is the first LED module to
integrate an electronic driver with smooth
dimming capability and fade-on/fade-off
performance similar to incandescent using
DALI or 1 to 10V controls. It has an efficacy
of 100 LPW and tight color consistency. The
on-board driver eliminates the need to stock
or engineer new driver solutions.
Heilux’s LumaFilm LS1R IP65 Planar Light
Emitter is the industry’s first IP65 rated, field
trimmable, flexible light emitter. It can be
installed in a wide range of exterior and
harsh environments without a heat sink.
The OSRAM PREVALED Flat AC is a direct
AC input LED module designed for shallow
surface mount applications. It is available in
7 or 10 in. diameter by ½ in. height module
with 1500 or 2500 lumens, a range of CCTs
and up to 90 CRI.
At up to 100 lumens per watt and 50,000
hours L70 life, OSRAM PREVALED CUBE AC
claims to be the industry’s highest efficacy,
longest life, integrated-AC light engine fam-
ily for use in downlight luminaires. They are
less than 1 in. in height, rated at up to 3000
lumens and available in multiple CCT choices.
The OSRAM PREVALED Flex Linear is the
industry’s first flexible linear LED family of
modules to achieve up to 1100 lumens per ft
and up to 173 lumens per watt. It has a 3-in.
bend radius, can be cut to fit, mounts with
adhesive tape or mechanical fasteners, and
requires no additional heat sinking.
LumaFilm LS1 Planar Light Emitter by Heilux is the first field trimmable flexible light emit-
ter. It is available in 2700 to 6000K and oper-
ates on standard constant current LED driv-
ers. LumaFilm does not require a heat sink
and can be placed in close proximity to the
lens without pixelation.

The “Super-Efficient” 100 LPW LED downlight
has been introduced by Liton Lighting. It
consumes 12 watts and produces 1200
lumens. It has options for five CCTs, 90 CRI, two
beam spreads and a remote battery backup.
The new Prescolite Architectural D2 LED
High Output is the highest output commer-
cially available specification grade LED 2-in.
fixed and adjustable downlight. It produces
1200 lumens, is IP66 rated and has a color
consistency held within 2 MacAdam ellipses
fixture-to-fixture.
The LMH2 LED Module with Sunset Dimming
from Cree maintains a 90-plus CRI while
changing from 2700K at high end to 1800K
at low end. The module can be dimmed with
standard triac dimmers to 1 percent, and is
available in four lumen packages from 850 to
3000 lumens.
This year there was a trend toward design-
ing to maximize the unique attributes of
LED sources. Smaller, thinner and lighter
products are being developed. Philips has
introduced their Surface LED Downlight,
the thinnest available. At 5/8 in. thick, this
edgelit product creates an illusion of being
a recessed downlight. It features all plastic
construction and a wet location rating.
Meteor Lighting now offers its 145-W
Recessed LED Downlight with 20 percent
higher lumens per watt than similar prod-
ucts accepted into the 2013 Report. It offers
an advanced digital video optimized DMX
dimming option for flicker-free dimming in
broadcast areas.
From RAB Lighting is the RDLED 2-in. down-
light. This luminaire claims the highest effica-
cy of any 2-in. aperture LED downlight on the
market at 79 LPW with a total of 694 delivered
lumens. The luminaire is available in four
different distributions, three color tempera-
tures, and square or round trims.
The HALO SLD Downlight from Eaton’s Cooper Lighting incorporates WaveStream
technology to create an ultra low-profile sur-
face mount luminaire that extends only 0.7
in. below and 0.8 in. above the ceiling plane.
The distribution from the laser-etched flat
panel delivers 84 percent of the lumens in
the zero to 60 deg zone, resulting in a down-
light distribution without the traditional
downlight housing.
Kurt Versen introduced their Very Narrow
8-deg LED Directional / Accent Luminaire,
offering the tightest beam with lower field
brightness than other luminaires. It delivers
over 17,000 candelas at beam center using
only 24 watts. It has a 4-1/8 in. conoid reflec-
tor and zero field angle.
Juno Lighting Group introduced the Indy
High Lumen L Series Downlights, which are the
industry’s first to offer an 8500 to 9000 lumen
downlight in a 6.5-in. deep housing. They offer
a hyperbolic reflector option that maintains
high efficacy and low aperture brightness.

The Juno Aculus 3-in. Tunable White/
BBD Precision Recessed Adjustable LED
Luminaire is the first adjustable downlight to
offer black-body warm dimming from 3000
to 1800K. It also has tunable white from 2000
to 4350K while using an industry standard
zero to 10V control protocol.
The Indy L Series Adjustable Downlights from
Juno Lighting Group are the first complete
family of 4, 6 and 8-in. LED adjustable down-
lights. Their field-interchangeable reflector
optics enable uniform beam distributions of
15, 22 and 38 deg.
Continuing the trend with small aperture,
high performing LED downlights, Juno Lighting has introduced their 2-in. aperture
LED downlight offering 69 lumens per watt.
The luminaire provides 600 lumens and is
rated for direct contact with insulation, and is
fully serviceable from below the ceiling.
The 8-in. ID LED High Ceiling Downlight by
Focal Point offers the highest efficacy in an
8-in. downlight at 80 LPW. Field-changeable
optical filters provide multiple beamspreads
while various dimming options, lumen out-
puts, CCTs and CRIs provide design flexibility.
Juno Lighting offers a warm-dim down-
light luminaire up to 900 lumens. The fixture
dims using either an electronic or magnetic
low voltage dimmer producing 3000K at full
output going down to 2000K at the lowest
output. It is available in 5 and 6-in. apertures.
The Progress Report Committee has identi-
fied a trend this year in small aperture, high
performing downlights. Juno Lighting has
introduced the Aculux Hyperbolic 2-in. down-
light family that is available in four different
distributions, four color temperatures, 80 and
90 CRI, and in 700 and 1000 lumen packages.
Also from the Juno Lighting Group, the
Aculux 2-in. Precision Adjustable Recessed
is the smallest diameter adjustable recessed
LED downlight in the market. It offers 40-deg
tilt, 365-deg rotation and interchangeable
optics, all accomplished while the fixture
remains in the ceiling.
Focal Point has introduced its ID LED 2.5-in.
Adjustable Family, offering the highest effi-
cacy in the low aperture downlight market at
79 lumens per watt. It offers five field replace-
able optics as well as aiming to provide flex-
ibility in the field.
BeveLED 2.0 downlight from USAI Lighting
is now available in the thinnest LED housing
on the market. BeveLED Flat measures less
than 4 in. tall from top to bottom, sporting
a 2-3/4 in. housing height in the trim version
and a 3-3/8 in. tall housing height in the trim-
less. The luminaire delivers over 2300 lumens
within a 2-step MacAdam ellipse.

USAI Lighting introduces the smallest
aperture warm-dim product on the market
with the BeveLED mini. The 1.5-in. aperture
is available as a downlight, wall wash or
adjustable luminaire and can deliver up to
875 lumens.
The Swirl LED pendant luminaire from
Blackjack Lighting uses field-replaceable,
flexible LED light sources to deliver uniform
360-deg light at an efficacy of 86 lumens per
watt, over 3500 lumens and an L70 of 60,000
hours, demonstrating art and science are a
winning hand.
The Indy Designer Series Black Body
Dimming Downlights that were accepted in
the 2013 Report have extended the product
family with a new wall wash and higher
lumen outputs. The architectural wall wash
reflector achieves improved uniformity and
low room side aperture luminance.
Luminis offers its Aramis AR150 Series of
LED architectural 6-in. diameter cylindri-
cal luminaires with the industry’s highest
lumen output for its size at 13,500. It fea-
tures an efficacy of 92 LPW and a lifetime of
86,000 hours.
The S222 LED Wall Wash Luminaire by
Lighting Quotient is the first IC-rated rect-
angular semi-recessed LED wall wash with a
recessed depth less than 2.5 in. It uses 16.3
watts, offers a low profile of ¾ in. below the
ceiling, and is both IC rated and DLC qualified.
Kurt Versen has developed its 4 ½ by 9 ½-in.
LED Double Lens Wall Wash, which is the first
in the industry to utilize two LED sources
directed at opposite walls to provide an
evenly lit corridor without scalloping.
The Prescolite Megalum Cylinder claims
to be the first legitimate LED replacement
for 250-W metal halide. It delivers 12,000
lumens out of a 10-in. cylinder, consumes
168 watts and is intended for mounting
heights from 20 to 60 ft.
Engineered Lighting Products claims the
highest output from a 4-ft totally indirect
luminaire at 8720 lumens. The AK Series LED
linear wall wash produces efficacies up to
89 LPW, and comes in multiple lengths and
mountings.
Prudential Lighting’s Bionic linear lensed
LED wall wash with extruded aluminum
housing produces 410 to 925 lumens per ft.
It delivers up to 82 lumens per watt with a
small 4-in. aperture, offering visual continu-
ity with other Bionic products.

Fino from Amerlux Lighting is the indus-
try’s only 5/8 -in. deep recessed linear fixture
that can be installed in gypsum board with-
out interfering with framing. This wall-wash
version projects 7/8 in. from the ceiling, is
available in 350 to 630 lumens per ft at over
50 lumens per watt.
Prudential Lighting’s P43 has performance
characteristics similar to the Bionic linear but
in a linear lensed LED wall wash with housings
available in 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8-ft standard lengths
that are made of die-formed 20-gauge steel.
The industry’s highest efficacy LED perim-
eter slot comes from Prudential Lighting. The Bionic Perimeter slot offers 60 lumens
per watt. With a 4-in. wide opening, it is
available in a flush lens style or with a 3-in.
regress.
The SkyRibbon IntelliHue family from Philips Color Kinetics includes the industry’s first
recessed linear wall slots with intelligent
color and white light from the same fixture.
Using RGB and white LEDs they produce
saturated colors, pastels and uniform white
light with CRI of greater than 85 in the 2700
to 4000K range.
The Axis Slim Surroundlite pendant lumi-
naire from Axis Lighting is the first to com-
bine cutting edge features. The optics pro-
vide wide batwing distributions along and
across. It features the first louver optic with
a shallow light guide and integral driver. Five
distributions are available.
Juno Lighting has introduced the Hyperbolic
2-in. wall-wash luminaire. It is available with
the same features as the downlight family
presented earlier in the Report and rounds
out the Aculux family of products.
The Lighting Quotient S224 LED Wall Wash
Luminaire offers the highest delivered light
output at 2494 lumens for a semi-recessed,
asymmetric distribution LED wall washer
in a 2 by 2 grid ceiling. It is DLC qualified, IC
rated, semi-recessed with less than a 2.5-in.
depth.
Eaton’s Cooper Lighting has released the
Index Configurable Luminaire, which allows
unique, factory configurations to provide the
exact light level or lighting power density for
a specific application. The tiltable wings can
be adjusted for any configuration of general
illumination, wall-wash or task lighting. The
wings come in 1 or 2-ft pairs and two light
levels, are dimmable, and transparent to
allow daylight to pass through the panels.
The LP3RS Lightplane luminaire from
Architectural Lighting Works is claimed to
be the smallest diameter suspended round
fixture at 3-in. The luminaire has both direct
and indirect components, an integral LED
driver, and has an efficacy of up to 89 lumens
per watt for the indirect component.

The Breez series LED luminaire family from
Lithonia Lighting/Acuity Brands features
efficacies of up to 100 LPW. They offer up to
6000 lumens, three color temperatures, 82
CRI and various dimming options. They are
the first recessed luminaire family without a
lens, diffuser or refractor.
Luminii’s Kendo S High Output Linear
Luminaire was accepted into the 2014 Report
as the industry’s shallowest linear illumina-
tion system without visible LED imaging. The
fixture is tiny at only 0.3 in. high, but offers
407 lumens per ft, and is available with up
to a 93 CRI, 6 CCTs and in lengths from 12
to 116 in.
Vellum by Peerless, an Acuity Brand, are lin-
ear suspended luminaires using an edge-lit
lens and integrated sensors. At 1 in. they are
the thinnest of their type due to the ultra-thin
lens. They are offered in indirect/direct or
100 percent direct distributions.
LSI Industries released its SLI LED Side Light
Recessed Troffer with a performance of up to
6012 lumens at 102 LPW. It is maintenance-
free with no lens to trap dirt or insects, result-
ing in less lumen depreciation over time. It
offers balanced illumination from both sides
of the fixture and low angle brightness control.
The GE Lumination IS Indirect Series offers
the industry’s highest lumen LED Package
for an indirect system at 10,400 for the 8-ft
length. It also offers tool-less joiners for an
uninterrupted line of light on continuous
runs. It features an innovative rail fastening
system that allows mounting from wherever
the ceiling supports are located.
By Lithonia Lighting, the W Series LED
Stairwell system, with integral occupancy
sensors, is the first system to offer dual tech-
nology sensors. With a sequential control
option that is wired or wireless, it can also
control levels above or below the stairwell
level being occupied. It is available in 2 and
4-ft configurations with multiple lumen
packages and wall or surface mount options.
Cree has introduced the LS Series Surface
Ambient LED Luminaire with an industry-
leading 92 CRI. It is less than 3 in. wide and
3 in. in height, offering a slim architectural
form factor. The Cree TrueWhite technology
combines high CRI, excellent light character-
istics and lifelong color consistency, all while
maintaining its high luminous efficacy.
Kendo M Seamless Linear Illumination
System by Luminii is an extension of the
Kendo family. It is the only Class 2 LED sys-
tem with seamless plug and play connectors
for runs up to 20 linear ft.
Liteweave Linear from Litecontrol utilizes
a unique lenticular lens to eliminate pixela-
tion. The incorporated flexible printed circuit
board was accepted in the 2013 Report. The
luminaire offers direct and indirect illumina-
tion up to 4600 lumens.

Amerlux introduces the Linea 1.5 family, a
miniature LED pendant line with efficacies up
to 101 lumens per watt. The fixture profile is a
mere 1-1/2 in. wide, and is available in direct,
direct/indirect, and indirect-only distribu-
tions with two different output options.
Prudential Lighting offers high efficacy in
a 3.5-in. aperture with up to 200 ft of seam-
less continuous lens in their Stream LED
slot luminaire. The luminaire is available in
three color temperatures in low, medium
and high output lumen packages at up to
1000 lumens per ft.
American Green Technology has brought
the HRMS UVC lighting technology to the
market that is clinically proven to eliminate
99.7 percent of HAI-causing pathogens. The
system provides light from a fluorescent or
LED 2 by 4 troffer and incorporates a fan
for air purifying, eliminating MRSA, Staph,
Bacillus, and Serratia.
The Series 11 LED Micro Profile Cove from
Finelite, Inc. is the only covelight with a
telescoping option. This option provides
up to 12 in. of luminaire length. It also has
the highest lumens-per-ft for a cove light at
91.7, and an extra long life of 100,000 hours
at L90.
The MedLux LED Cove System from Everbrite Lighting is the first MRI-safe RGB cove system
featuring a unique control method designed
specifically for operating LEDs in an EMI-
critical environment. The system can have a
total of 162 linear ft per power supply.
The Slot 2 & 4 LED Pendant and Surface
mount is new from Mark Lighting, an Acuity
Brand. It is the first linear LED product family
to offer a complete line of engineered TIR
optical solutions. The luminaire offers up to
100 lumens per watt.
Spectrum Lighting submitted the 81+ LER
22-in. Diameter Flush Lens LED 2 by 2, which
offers the industry’s highest output in a 2
by 2 LED lay-in. It operates at 220 watts and
produces 18,000 lumens, and offers 80-plus
CRI with a 22-in. diameter, high transmis-
sion smooth white lens with no visible LED
imaging.
The Series 11 LED Flex cove light from Finelite Inc. is designed for curved and
irregularly shaped coves. It features 91 LPW
and is available in standard and high-lumen
packages. It is rated at L90 at 100,000 hours
life. Zero to 10V dimming is standard.
Microcove from Prudential Lighting deliv-
ers macro performance from an LED cove,
delivering 500 to 1500 lumens per ft, a 105-
deg peak angle to evenly wash the ceiling
and 30 deg of adjustability with lockable
aiming at 100 plus lumens per watt.

Juno Lighting offers the first warm-dim
LED replacement product for low voltage
track systems. The modules dim using elec-
tronic or magnetic low voltage dimmers with
2700K at full output, dimming to 1800K.
The Juno Gen2 TL114 Trac Spotlight pro-
duces up to 344 lumens using less than 5
watts. With up to 52 delivered lumens per
watt, it is an ultra-miniature 1-3/8 in. diameter
cylindrical track fixture.
The Cove Light AC HO RGBW from Traxon Technologies is the industry’s only RGBW
color changing cove light with direct AC
input. It has a lumen output of 300 lumens
per ft, and is controlled via DMX512 compat-
ible interfaces.
The highest lumen-per-watt LED track head
on the market comes from Juno Lighting. The XLT275L Arc Trac family offers up to 95
lumens per watt with a maximum lumen
output of 2600. This luminaire is intended as
a replacement to 39-W ceramic metal halide
trackheads. It is available in four color tem-
peratures and both 80 and 90 CRI.
The Line LED Wall Sconce by WAC provides
the thinnest, edge-lit LED panel wall sconce
on the market. It can be mounted horizontal-
ly or vertically and offers a balanced rotation
mechanism with friction hinge, which allows
it to be swiveled smoothly, with a stop at any
desired angle.
Cylindrix III LED track heads from Amerlux feature an efficacy of up to 76 lumens per
watt and are offered in several types includ-
ing 2700 and 3000K options with CRI of up to
97 with an R9 value of 92.
Juno Lighting introduced the T259 Wall
Wash Trac luminaire; it provides up to 4500
lumens at 81 LPW. It is available in 2700, 3000,
3500, and 4000K and in either 80 or 90 CRI.
The Conix II from Juno Lighting offers the
highest lumen output in the market for an
LED trackhead. At 64 watts, the luminaire
can provide over 4300 lumens and utilizes
passive cooling. It is available in four color
temperatures and three distributions.
ConTech Lighting offers its Mini O2 Multiple
LED Recessed Adjustable Luminaire, claim-
ing the highest efficacy in its class at 80 LPW.
It allows 45-deg of head tilt adjustability
while remaining hidden in the housing.

from Intense Lighting unique. G-Rail is the
first fully customizable personal assistance
illuminated handrail with internal motion
detection touch sensor, amber night light
and pre-programmable luminance gentle
fade. It also comes with an optional anti-
microbial coating.
Kirlin Lighting introduces the Optiled
MRR-12640, an LED motorized, adjustable,
recessed patient lighting system. With 2596
delivered lumens at 3500K and 80 CRI, the
fixture offers 0 to 10V dimming and comes
standard with an anti-microbial finish.
GE Lighting has introduced the Albeo ABV1
LED industrial high bay luminaire. It has the
highest efficacy for an LED hi-bay at 139 LPW.
It has a compact size measuring about 12 by
15 by 3 in.
The Albeo ABH2 LED from GE Lighting is a
high-lumen specification-grade luminaire. It
has the highest lumen package at 57,640,
with 14 other outputs available. It produces
110 lumens per watt with 80 CRI and has
multiple lens options.
Precision Paragon is the first company to
offer a commercial LED highbay luminaire
with TIR-based short wavelength light sup-
pression optics to prevent photo-oxidation
in food processing applications. This lumi-
naire can provide up to a 70 percent energy
savings compared to high pressure sodium
solutions typically used in food processing.
The first LED high-bay luminaire with field
adjustable optics has been introduced by
Eaton’s Cooper Lighting. Pre-designated
stops are designed into the fixture to allow
consistent distribution settings and the
WaveStream technology also allows precise
lumen control of the field-adjustable uplight.
Luminaire efficacies are up to 105 lumens per
watt with luminaire packages from 10,000 to
29,000 lumens.
The LHB4101A from Viscor Group is an LED
aisle lighter which achieves a one-to-one
spacing criteria ideal for high density racking
systems where even vertical illuminance is
important. It is rated at up to 18,000 lumens
and 83 lumens per watt.
Hubbell Lighting developed its Lunabay
prismatic LED Highbay fixture. It is the indus-
try’s first industrial highbay to provide 30
percent uplight with a delivered lumens of
23,650 at 92 LPW.
Holophane, an Acuity Brand, offers the
Vantage LED Hi-Bay luminaire. The smooth
sloped sides and anti-microbial cord exceeds
the rigorous demands of food processing
plants. Available in multiple lumen packages,
it can provide for a one-to-one direct replace-
ment of 400-W HID or 6-lamp T5HO fixtures.
The luminaire is IP 66 rated.

Lighting Services Inc. has produced a
powerful, tightly focused LED spotlight. The
LP2 SuperSPOT series is designed for medi-
um to long throw applications, replacing PAR
lamp technology. These 36-W fixtures have
multiple beam options including a 6-deg
beam with 50,000 center beam candlepower.
The first dusk-to-dawn LED luminaire to
achieve an efficacy of 104 lumens per watt is
the Caretaker by Eaton’s Cooper Lighting.
The luminaire can be adapted to multiple
applications ranging from full cutoff to high
visibility with the addition of either a small
acrylic or standard NEMA refractor. It carries 3G
vibration, IP66 and salt-spray corrosion ratings.
Meteor Lighting has introduced its 300-W
Adjustable LED Uplight and Downlight, with
mounting for sports hall applications. It is
suitable for nanatorium applications, wet
locations and chlorine environments, and it
delivers 26,200 lumens at 5700K.
A unique LED indoor track luminaire capable
of projecting interior objects and surfaces
with motion or still images is available from
Panasonic Lighting Americas. The Space
Player is an integrated projected lighting and
object rendering system that uses the first
application of Miracast, a peer-to-peer Wi-Fi
screen casting standard to stream media
from computers, iOS and Android devices.
With decreasing plenum depths becoming
more common, the CLP Hazardous Location
and Cleanroom luminaire from Eaton’s Cooper Lighting provides a lighting solu-
tion with a luminaire having only a 3-1/2 in.
depth. It is suitable for Class 1 Division 1,
Class 2 Division 2 and Class 3 locations, is
IP66, NSF rated for non-food splash zones,
and 100 PSI sprays.
FARO LED from Hess America is the only
outdoor indirect post top to offer a G0 rating
and a unique square Type V distribution with
superior uniformity and wider on-center
pole spacing than competitive products. It
has an output of 3000 lumens at an efficacy
of 43 lumens per watt.
Ephesus Lighting has introduced its
Stadium Pro LED Light for commercial sports
applications. It weighs under 50 pounds with
an output of 115,000 lumens at 1000 watts.
It has a reported L70 lifetime greater than
225,000 hours. It contains wireless controls
for two-way communication, providing gen-
eral control and creation of lighting effects.
It adjusts power to maintain initial lumen
output over fixture life, provides color tuning
options and monitors fixture health.
Expansion of the Galleon area and site lumi-
naire family from Eaton’s Cooper Lighting
has resulted in outputs of up to 120 lumens
per watt, the highest offered for this fixture
type. Thirty lumen packages of up to 50,000 at
4000K, 16 optical distributions and multiple
mounting options provide versatility.
Shat-R-Shield introduced the LED Vapor
Tight Luminaire as the first thermally-con-
ductive polymer fixture of its kind. In addi-
tion to being the first to use thermal plastics
in this type of fixture, it offers an efficacy of
107 LPW.

Eaton’s Cooper Lighting has significantly
reduced the glare from parking garage and
canopy lighting with its TopTier luminaire.
Luminaire efficacies of up to 118 lumens per
watt are available in packages from 3000 to
9000 nominal lumens. Integral occupancy
sensors and wireless control options are
available.
The Kick from Architectural Area Lighting
offers an extensive assortment of configura-
tions for a pedestrian scale luminaire. It is
available in type 2, 3 and 5 distributions,
3000, 4200 and 5100K, and four lumen pack-
ages up to 12,000 lumens.
The highest efficacy for an LED wallpack
is brought to us by RAB Lighting. At 103
lumens per watt, this fixture is available in
3000, 4000 and 5000K at up to 2044 lumens
and only 18 watts.
The NXT-M Luminaire by LED Roadway Lighting is the first luminaire in the roadway
market to offer tool-less replaceable LED
engines. It also features a field-switchable
LED driver current, which allows adjustment
from 350 to 700 milliamps.
Beacon, a division of Hubbell Lighting, intro-
duces the Viper Family with Beaconnect
Wireless. This product was designed to elimi-
nate the need for complicated gateways,
Wi-Fi, GPS and third party providers on proj-
ects with up to 420 luminaires. It features a
fully embedded, semi-autonomous, mesh-
enabled wireless control system. It has a
built-in astronomic time clock and battery
backup, designed into the light engine.
The Evolve ECSB LED Area Canopy Light is
new from GE this year. It offers an energy-
efficient solution to canopy lighting and is an
industry leader at 109 LPW. It is available in
three lumen packages, from 3900 to 13,500.
New from Kenall Lighting is the TekDek
Parking Garage luminaire. The luminaire
offers over 8000 lumens at 150 lumens per
watt.
The Symphonic X series LED open top acorn
system from Spring City Electric harmo-
nizes engineering and aesthetics, achieving
the industry’s highest efficacy of up to 121
lumens per watt, superior initial pole spacing
and a reported life rating of 65,000 hours L90.
Autobahn ATBS from American Electric Lighting is the first roadway lighting fixture
to provide an optical glass lens with field
adjustable lumen output and beam spreads.
The product is available in Type II, III, and
V distributions and in 1800 to 6300 lumen
packages.

The Syrios Series Exterior LED Cylindrical
Luminaire has been developed by Luminis. It offers an output of 5000 lumens with
adjustable optics. It is offered with two
types of light patterns from narrow to wide
flood distribution and choices from 3000
to 5000K. The 6 and 8-in. versions also fea-
ture a unique integral adjustable light, which
enables precise directional light without dis-
turbing the position of the luminaire.
Solatube International has expanded its
previously accepted high performance sky-
light solution with the Skyvault Solar Collector.
This new solution redirects low-angle daylight
efficiently into the interior of the building
using their Raybender HD Technology.
FlexScape from Philips Hadco are landscape
LED accent and inground fixtures with switch-
able light output. The LED optics can zoom
from a 15-deg to a 30-deg beam with a twist
of the wrist. The four light outputs are switch-
able, and three beam patterns are available.
OSRAM SYLVANIA has expanded the
MOSAIC flexible LED color changing strip
lights with an IP66 outdoor-rated version
that has 120V input. It conforms to UL2388
and accepts signals from an IR remote or
Bluetooth-enabled devices.
The ELI-S-100 Emergency Lighting Inverter is
another product from Philips Emergency Lighting. It provides up to 100 watts of
power for one or multiple fixtures, operates
for at least 90 minutes, and is the first inverter
to provide the capability of dimming using a
zero to 10V signal.
Philips Lighting introduces the Vaya Linear
LP, the smallest outdoor linear luminaire on
the market with an integrated power supply.
It is 1.4 in. wide by 2 in. tall and is available in
white, monochromatic color and RGB, with
two distributions in 2 and 4-ft sizes at 21
lumens per watt.
The first exit sign that can be universally
mounted in any configuration is the EUX
luminaire from Eaton’s Cooper Lighting.
The sign faces snap into the housing without
tools, and the sign is rotatable. It can be
single or double-faced, has self-diagnostics,
and a maximum recharge time of 24 hours.
Another emergency product comes to us
from IOTA Engineering. The ILB-SL-CP12
LED Emergency Battery Pack provides up
to 12 watts of constant power during its 90
minutes of operation with no reduction in
light level. The pack accepts a 120 or 277V
input and can operate LED modules from 10
to 60 volts DC.
Dealing with cold temperatures is not an
issue for the BSL-10 Cold-Pak Emergency LED
Driver. This driver from Philips Emergency Lighting provides up to 10 watts for 90
minutes in temperatures from minus 20 to
55 deg Celsius. The driver can operate LED
loads rated from 24 to 52 volts DC.

The Lighthawk2 from Hubbell Building Automation is the first in-wall product
to combine PIR occupancy/vacancy sens-
ing with zero to 10V dimming. The sensor
has a 1000 sq-ft coverage and features
IntelliADAPT technology that automatically
makes sensitivity adjustments to improve
performance.
The DLL Elite LED photocontrol from Acuity
provides the functionality of a photocontrol
with a life of 20 plus years. It has the high-
est surge protection on the market at 2120
joules/40,000 amperes. It is the first in its
category that is UL Listed and offers models
for 120 to 480 volts.
GE has introduced the LightGrid outdoor
wireless control. This new solution embeds a
GPS chip into each node, allowing up to 500
nodes within one network and a 500-meter
line-of-sight between nodes.
Nyx Hemera Technologies has brought us
the Intelligent Tunnel LED Lighting Control.
The system uses a photometer to adjust
output to account for dirt depreciation and
lumen maintenance, a temperature sensor to
ensure LED drivers are not overheating, and
operational tracking to balance the hours of
operation between all of the fixtures.
Closely related to the previous product,
Acuity’s Fresco Lighting Management Panel
is the first multiVage panel that includes a full
range of dimming capabilities and protocols.
The panel includes NEMA SSL-7A compliant
phase control for LED loads, relays, DALI, zero
to 10V dimming, and DMX/RDM.
Using the latest in field-effect technology,
the Antumbra User Interface from Philips wakes up when it detects a person’s mag-
netic field near it and illuminates the device
to the proper light levels based on a built-in
ambient light sensor. The user interface is
comprised of smooth glass and is available
in three fascia finishes.
This sensor from OSRAM Encelium is the
industry’s smallest wireless, battery pow-
ered sensor to combine passive infrared and
photosensor control. It is compatible with
Zigbee HA wireless enabled devices.
Lighting Control and Design, an Acuity
Brand, has introduced the Field Configurable
Relay. It can be configured in the field through
the use of a simple lever from single pole to
two or three poles. The relay can operate
from minus 20 to 60 deg C, and has an Short
Circuit Current Rating of 42,000 amperes at
277 volts.
Fresco from Acuity Brands is the first
TouchsCreen Lighting Control to provide
DMX/RDM control from the unit directly as
well as other control outputs including DALI,
zero to 10 volts and phase control from the
connected control system. It allows editing
of light settings and fixture performance
directly, and includes integral Bluetooth for
wireless mobile apps.

OSRAM Encelium control technologies
introduces a wireless wall station that is
battery powered and used to control Zigbee
enabled devices. It is capable of scene or
zone control, and its battery life of 10 years is
double that of competing products.
Also from LED Roadway Lighting, the
Internal Smart Grid Network Node is the first
node of its kind to allow connectivity to the
Smart Grid. Multiple vendors are available for
partnership networks. The node resides in
an IP66 sealed chamber.
Cree has introduced Smartcast Technology
for wireless LED lighting control. The technol-
ogy incorporates ambient sensors that allow
fixtures to be grouped together automati-
cally during setup. A range of troffer, linear
and downlight fixtures also include occu-
pancy/vacancy sensors as well as a wireless
programmer and wireless wall controls.
Lumen IQ from LED Roadway Lighting is
the first roadway technology that incorpo-
rates the ANSI C136.41 dimming receptacle
allowing either zero to 10V or DALI dimming
control of the fixture. It provides power mea-
surement within 1 percent accuracy and can
work with LED, induction, plasma, HPS or MH
luminaires.
ULTRA RT6 and RT8 LED from OSRAM SYLVANIA are retrofit kits for 6 and 8-in.
downlights with efficacies over 70 lumens
per watt. They are available with 1500 and
2000 lumen outputs, respectively, and are
also wet location listed.
The Latitude IQ from LED Roadway Lighting offers the first non-networked
control solution to use the new ANSI stan-
dard C136.41 connector. It offers both on/off
function, as well as dimming, based on GPS
location and time data.
The Caseta Wireless System from Lutron
brings the established Clear Connect tech-
nology to lamp modules, shade controls,
temperature controls and a full line of LED
dimmers. It works on mobile devices like the
Apple Watch and has connectivity to third-
party bridges available through multiple do-
it-yourself outlets.
OSRAM SYLVANIA’s ULTRA HE LED T8 ret-
rofit kits achieve an industry-leading efficacy
of up to 116 lumens per watt with external
drivers that operate 2 or 4-ft lamps. Zero to
10V dimming types comply with California
energy codes.
Seesmart Technologies has brought to
the market the All Plastic Retrofit LED Tube
Light. As a replacement for traditional 32-W
T8 lamps, the 15-W retrofit light provides 120
lumens per watt, has a 180 deg distribution,
incorporates a replaceable internal driver
and provides a 10-year warranty.

Acuity Brands has introduced the P Series
Recessed Luminaire Upgrade. This is a line
extension of a previously accepted product
that now incorporates a zero inrush current
driver and 93 CRI.
Eaton’s Cooper Lighting LD6 LED down-
light retrofit kit Series delivers up to 3000
lumens and is suitable for replacing up to
70-W metal halide or two 32-W CFLs. The
integral dual-function driver handles leading
and trailing edge dimming, as well as zero to
10V control signals.
Thomas Research has added the EOL3-
277-20K Surge Protector to their line of prod-
ucts. This new version provides a remote LED
indicator that senses when the device has
reached end-of-life and needs to be replaced.
The S22, 22-in. diameter, high bay Reflexor
from ALP LexaLite is the first to be designed
specifically for POD style LED luminaires. It has
shallower depth than traditional reflectors
allowing high beam angles and glare control,
and is easily adapted to almost any fixture.
The 347-480V eVision Ballast from Philips is
the first MasterColor ballast for this voltage
range. It has a selectable dual wattage for
210 or 315-W lamps, zero to 10V dimming
down to 50 percent power, and thermal
cutback in the event the ballast exceeds its
rated operating temperature.
GE Lighting has improved cabinet lighting
with its Line Fit LED Light. It provides the
highest efficacy for this retrofit category at
128 lumens per watt and provides 11 dif-
ferent sizes. The end caps rotate 360 deg to
provide optimal light on the sign face.
High CRI lamps and luminaires are trending
in the Report this year. The Lumination RI
Series LED downlights from GE Lighting deliver 90 CRI across four lumen packages.
The series offers three aperture sizes, a ret-
rofit option and tool-free LED upgrades.
Also from ALP Lexalite is the S16 high bay
Reflexor which has similar features to the S22
but with a smaller diameter of 16 in.
GE Lighting has developed TriGain
Phosphor technology. This narrow-band
emission red phosphor increases R1 and R9
while improving LED and system efficiency.
This is used in a new lighting engine produc-
ing 170 LPW with a CRI of 90.

The SimpleSet LED Driver from Philips is
configured through a software tool and a
wireless device using near-field technology
to configure the driver to its proper settings.
New additions to the OPTOTRONIC pro-
grammable current LED power supply offer-
ing are new 50, 100 and 180-W outdoor types
which are wet location rated.
Providing the first family of LED drivers UL
rated for hazardous locations, Thomas Research has launched the LED-25W-HL
and LED-40W-HL. They are rated from 100
to 277 volts, can operate from minus 30 to
plus 60 deg Celsius, and offer optional zero
to 10V dimming.
OSRAM SYVANIA expands its offering of
OPTOTRONIC programmable current LED
power supplies with thin linear form factors
facilitating use in linear luminaires. These
power supplies can be programmed for cur-
rent outputs ranging from 400 to 1400 mil-
liamps though a remote programming tool.
Lutron has generated two whitepapers
on properly dimming LED lamps. The first,
“Controlling LEDs,” covers the broad range of
internal and external driver considerations,
standards that are beginning to shape the
industry, and various control methods.
The Everline 150-W Outdoor Driver Family has
been introduced by Universal Technologies. It
is the first family of 150-W drivers for outdoor
applications that meets the IEEE C62.41 stan-
dard for 6000V transient surges and provides
products for both 120 to 277 as well as 347 to
480V applications.
Debut from OSRAM is the industry’s first
immersive experience combining LED light-
ing with video and sound, transforming a
dressing room into a virtual reality space.
The lighting spectra is tuned to match sev-
eral scenes downloaded from the cloud and
projected on the video sCreens.
The second Lutron paper, “Challenges of
Dimming LED Loads on Transformers,” spe-
cifically addresses the dimming of LEDs on
magnetic and electronic transformers.
A publication from GE Lighting provid-
ing data on pairing more efficient narrow-
band red emitting phosphors with com-
mercially used techniques is now avail-
able. Titled “Narrow-band Red Emitting
Phosphors: Creating High Performance LED
Light Sources and Fixtures” this document
explains the new technology called TriGain.

Second is IES DG-4-14, “Design Guide for
Roadway Lighting Maintenance.” It shows
how sound maintenance practice can pro-
vide a safe and high-performing nighttime
environment for vehicles and pedestrians
while minimizing maintenance costs.
The IES completed six new publications over
the past year. LEM-7-13, “Lighting Controls for
Energy Management,” covers lighting con-
trol systems of interior and exterior environ-
ments for all types of buildings. It addresses
energy-saving strategies while meeting light-
ing quality requirements.
IES LEM-3-13 is the “IES Guidelines for
Upgrading Lighting Systems in Commercial
and Institutional Spaces” that advises the
reader to be aware of the balance between
quality lighting and energy savings. It
provides a series of Upgrade Briefs that
describe equipment alternatives for suc-
cessful upgrades.
Procedures and precautions for obtaining
and reproducing luminous flux and color
maintenance measurements for LEDs,
as well as standard test environmental
conditions, are outlined in IES LM-84-14,
“Approved Method: Measuring Luminous
Flux and Color Maintenance of LED Lamps,
Light Engines and Luminaires.”
IES LM-85-14, “Approved Method: Electrical
and Photometric Measurements of High-
Power LEDs,” provides a uniform test method
for accurate operational, photometric and col-
orimetric measurements of high-power LEDs.
The final IES publication is the
“Recommended Practice for Daylighting
Buildings,” RP-5-13. With its recommenda-
tions, electric lighting energy can be reduced
by 40 percent in side-lighted daylight zones
and more than 50 percent in top-lighted
zones through the use of daylight delivery
methods, glazing systems, shading tech-
niques and control strategies.
Lighting Analysis for Revit is introduced by
AutoDesk. This software will perform day-
light analysis on detailed models and gen-
erate documents for LEED submission. It
uses a proprietary engine based on a mul-
tidimensional lightcuts algorithm operating
in the cloud to perform solar and electric
lighting simulations for buildings up to 1000
times faster than traditional software.
