A: Introduction This report includes a comprehensive list of all best management practices provided in
municipal pollution reduction plans within Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
In Section B and C, each best management practice (BMP) that was found on the pollution
reduction plans is listed. Section B is organized by the 13 watersheds that BMPs were spatially
located within. The columns in this section provide the projects geolocation and address, the
project description, the municipality who proposed the project, and specific information about
the project. This information includes the project size, sediment reduction estimate, estimated
cost, and the method that was utilized to calculate the reduction. Further, projects with an *
denoted next to their name indicated a completed project. This list will be included in Section E.
Section C organizes the BMPs by project type. The information in Section C also includes the
proposed method of funding for the specific project. Some projects in sections B and C do not
include various factors in the project list, such as project size and estimated cost. These are not
included in this report because they were not included within the municipal plan. These will be
marked with “not provided” or “N/A”.
The project type was identified using the categories found in the following table. .

The information was gathered from the pollution reduction plans (PRP) that were submitted to
DEP. A total of 39 PRPs were collected, reviewed, and the information was entered into the
tables presented in this report. Geolocation information was gathered using the maps and
information in the PRPs. The locations were verified using aerial imagery, where the latitudes
and longitudes were then collected. This information was uploaded into ArcMap and organized
by watershed and by project.
