QUEEN VICTORIA MONUMENT, LANCASTER

The Queen Victoria Monument in Dalton Square, central Lancaster, is one of the most elaborate monuments to Victoria and her age. Dated 1906, the sculptor, Herbert Hampton, used the generous funding from Lord Ashton, to create an exuberant monument. More details about it can be found in the Guide to Lancaster No. 17.
