Abstract
Today in the booming field of audio acoustic technology, we are utilizing Reversal Acoustic Kore Mat Technology to help amplify sound as opposed to absorbing it, as other manufactures using foam materials are presently doing.

Claim - Reversal Acoustic Kore Mat Technology is a new evolution in acoustic sound
design. We have developed Kore mat material that consists of a honeycomb looking polyurethane foam material that will be used as a sound deflector when combined with epoxy resin. Our design uses a combination of ideas from two patents held by Onkyo Corporation. Patent # 20050039975 demonstrates acoustic reflection and absorption, and Patent # 6,855,739 is a modified polyurethane foamed material used for absorption. Instead of using the material to function as a sound absorber as does Onkyo Corporation’s technology, we will use the material to serve as a sound amplifier. This will induce the sound wave through the Kore Mat Honeycomb like structure, causing it to move very quickly through the enclosure; thus canceling itself out in noise distortion and amplifying its sound by its movement. The key is to have the sound wave hit the multiple honeycomb surfaces, which causes the reverse acoustic waves to move faster than they normally would. The result is the creation of a sound that is louder and deeper in comparison to a system that lacks Kore Mat technology. The design will vary on where the Kore Mat material is placed, depending upon the size and shape of the enclosed box.

Fiberglass
Used to make the speaker enclosure and helps bind the Kore Mat material to the surface of the enclosure.
Thickness of enclosure made of fiberglass will be ¾ inch thick and will sanded down and waxed for a smooth surface.

Modified polyurethane foamed materials used as adsorbents patent # 6,855,739
This will serve as the Kore Mat material and will be filled in a honeycomb structure.
This material is essential to our invention.

Summary of Invention
Using Kore Mat Technology will enable the listener to amplify his sound and hear a rich deep bass that is not experienced without Kore Mat. When sound waves travel through the Kore Mat honeycomb like structure, they will be hitting a surface that will break that single sound wave into multiple sound waves. This will allow the sound waves to move faster as they continue to strike the Kore Mat’s surface, causing the sound distortion to neutralize itself.

Marketing Invention: We will market our product to car/mobile audio
consumers due to soaring market trends. We will allocate $125,000 solely towards developing a marketing campaign that will target car audio magazines, men’s magazines such as Stuff or FHM, and car show sponsorships in SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association). This will allow us to hit our primary target market age group of individuals between the ages of 18 and 26. If we are successful, we will then look into television sponsorships, such as MTV’s “Pimp My Ride” that will further build exposure and create a niche in the market for our product.

Anticipated Market/ Client Base
The anticipated market would currently be car audio, due to its current trend in soaring sales of audio components. People want the best sound while listening to the stereo in their cars and driving from point A to point B. Targeting this market will be perfect at the time when this trend is continuing to grow. As soon as this market matures, we will move towards home audio sales and license our technology to other manufactures.
