the second largest ( about 750 000 inhabitants)one of the oldestlocated in 1257

has ever been one of the main centres of Polish culture, academic and artistic life

was the capital of Poland (1038- 1596 )

attracts tourists from all over the world ,enchants by its atmosphere,full of tourists mostly in spring ,summer and early autumn,becomes the international students’ city since

October to July ,has been named the „small Venice –the town

This is where Nazi Germany established the Cracow Ghetto for the purpose of persecution, terror, and exploitation of Jews during German occupation of Poland in the World War II. The Ghetto was closed down between June 1942 and March 1943.

the Pope in October 1978 during the inauguration of his pontificate.

The aim is to give comprehensive attention tothe overall activity of Pope John Paul II through : showing the cultural and social implications of his teachings, co-operating in projects relating to the teachings of the late Pope. ensuring that his example and words are passed

on to future generations.

organizing different activities for people over 55 including :

language courses, computer & IT skills , swimming, visiting Cracow and its surroundings , organizing exhibitions on Polish history and culture, film presentations , lectures on law, science, sociology ,health promotion.
