The following VHF models have FCC Part 80 equipment certification for both commercial and public safety

entities requiring communications on VHF Marine band channels in areas around navigable rivers, lakes,

harbors and inter-coastal waterways. Kenwood digital VHF models receiving certification include:

TK-5220K/K2, TK-5720K, TK-5710HBK

NX-200K/K2/SK, NX-210K2, NX-700HK

Public safety & commercial entities can interoperate with:

Law enforcement, fish & game, wildlife conservation agencies

Fire, SAR, lifeguard & emergency management

Port, harbor, lock, dam, bridge and flood control operations

Utilities, power plants

Commercial boats and ships

Notes:

Operators should familiarize themselves with marine band regulations and use (FCC Part 80) before

enabling operation; channels have dedicated and/or restricted use. Please refer to the Part 80

Manual on the second page of this bulletin for additional information.

Kenwood LMR Part 80 certified models are not intended for sea-going vessel usage as equipment,

bands, emissions, operations, signaling and licensing requirements vary.
