Clean separation of heavy and light material fractions
The Kiverco KDS 1500 Density Separator has been designed to efficiently separate material into
two fractions, heavy and light, using the latest in air separation technology.
Separating these fractions, typically sized between 10 – 200mm, allows products of value to be
created. Cleaned ‘heavy’ products can be transferred for onward recycling use whilst lighter
materials such as paper and cardboard can be used as a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) or SRF
product.
The KDS greatly reduces the amount of material sent to landfill, delivering considerable savings
in areas were landfill taxes are high.

Case Study Example
Plant setup – Kleeman Mobicat 110 Jaw Crusher (100mm CSS) into Sandvik QE330 Screen
(50mm punch plate top, 20mm mesh bottom) oversize onto Kiverco KDS1500 Windsifter
Input Feed material: 50 to 100mm crushed concrete, approximately 10% contamination
with wood, paper & plastic, approximately 30TPH being fed into KDS 1500 windshifter unit
Output Result: Kiverco KDS 1500 removed over 90% of contaminates from crushed stone
leaving a very clean product. The 20-50mm material was also charged from the
screen into the KDS 1500 which cleaned the stone equally well.

KDS1500SW site mobile
Photo shows fully site mobile model complete with EU compliant diesel electric generator,
collection & hydraulic fold out stockpile conveyor, site axle, and hydraulic jack legs. No crane hire
is required to unload from the trailer and position into place.

and disc return rollers. Belt speed 1.4m/s.
• Full vertical and horizontal accelerator conveyor adjustment to give a range of
precision settings across various applications.
• 2 x 11kW fan blowers with variable speed to deliver maximum separation
performance across the full width of the belt.
• Each fan can be independently controlled and adjusted in terms of speed and
blower nozzle angle. This is ideal if splitting the accelerator belt into 2 fractions.
• Twin recirculation air fan system operates in a closed loop format to create
negative pressure, aid separation and minimise dust.
• Fixed speed 2.2kW 1500mm wide separator drum to further aid the separation
