We’re going green! The Greenville County
Library System is proud to launch our first adult summer
reading program, beginning in June, 2009. This year’s
theme, Green Reads, will focus on the environment.
This summer, Upstate Forever has joined the library in coordinating an exciting schedule of events to complement our adult summer reading program.
From bike rides on the Swamp Rabbit Trail to guided tours of local parks and rivers, the scheduled events will allow participants to appreciate
and explore the natural resources of the area and increase their knowledge of local and regional environmental issues.
Events are available for all budgets, including some at no cost! Individuals ages 18 and over are invited to read books and
join in activities focused on recycling, nature and the environment. Participants are encouraged to record books read and to return reading logs for a free
gift! Recommended Green Reads and a full list of events are available on our website. Pick up a reading log at any Greenville County Library System location and join in!
Greenville County Library System and community partners are involved in making this a meaningful experience for all who participate. Join your neighbors and friends
in reading, learning and enjoying the summer with Green Reads! Participation is free and open to the public. Call 527-9293 for more information or visit www.greenvillelibrary.org.
