THE ROLE OF STORYTELLING IN INTERPRETATION

Jungle Trails is a Zone filled

with awesome stories to tell!

Storytelling will help guests

build emotional connections

with our animals

Why Storytelling?Story telling is an incredibly powerful tool, it is

the basis of everything in human society!

Storytelling is the oldest method of transferring

knowledge in human history.

To put it simply, stories are how we come to

understand and connect with the world. Stories

shape almost everything we believe! It’s how

we understand ourselves, communicate, and

connect with one another.

Good storytelling has the power to transform

our perceptions of the world!

The Power of Storytelling

EXAMPLE!

Storytelling and Conservation

Scientists are quickly recognizing the power of storytelling in the field of Conservation

The purpose of storytelling is to make a connection with an individual on a personal level and deliver a message that resonates with them so that they are

moved to take some sort of action

Through a compelling story, you have the opportunity to inspire respect, understanding, and

action that will hopefully lead to conservation

Conservation is a people problem and people are built to hear and connect to stories!
