Dear Friends,
It has been well over a year since Father Ken and I said our good-byes and left you good folks at All Saints’
Church. Since then Ken has been serving as interim priest at St. Raphael’s in Crossville, and I quickly
settled back into retirement – for a while, at least. I served as a search consultant for St. Paul’s in King-
sport, led workshops for them on leadership and visioning, as well as supplying for several months until
their new priest arrived. As we are discovering, retirement is holding some surprises for us. We are learn-
ing to “go with the flow” when something arises, and to trust that God is leading us into an unexpected
opportunity.
In the past two years, you folks at All Saints’ have experienced some unanticipated changes. First Scherry
retired; the Brown Team arrived, and then left; then John arrived and unexpectedly left; and now the
Brown Team is returning. When it comes to clergy, you have had some surprises. And it is quite normal to
experience some anxiety around any change. When something unexpected happens, one can either
“react” to what has happened and get “stuck” in an anxious state. Or, one can “respond" to the situation
in healthy and productive ways and move forward into a new future.
Our hope for you in the coming year is that you, too, can “go with the flow”, and trust that God is leading
you into some unexpected opportunities. You will soon embark on a search for your next rector of All
Saints’. That, in itself, can be both exciting and anxiety producing. But it is clearly an opportunity for you,
as a church, to look at who you are now, and discern what God’s is calling you to do and be in the coming
years. And then, to prayerfully determine what kind of spiritual leader you need to shepherd you into
that vision.
Ken and I look forward to walking with you on this journey. I will begin June 1st on a part-time basis, and
Ken will join me on August 1st. Just remember, one of the vestiges of aging is that our recall, especially of
names, is not unpredictable. So, please do us a favor and wear your name tag.
Faithfully,
Mother Donna+

Project Canterbury Activities
Project Canterbury is growing, and we are so grateful to all the young men and women who have participated so far. We are
having a blast just being together, so I hope all our college and grad school aged folks will join the fun whenever possible!
Because so many of us work, we have decided to increase our monthly activities during the summer. In June and July, we will
begin meeting on the 2nd and 4th Sunday at 5:30 pm in the downstairs Youth Room, for supper and a brief Bible study,
followed by conversation and general chillaxin'.
We want to thank George & Lena Giles for their donation of funds for our wonderful recent karaoke Luau, and for the offers
by two parishioners of their homes as venues for future gatherings. (Stay tuned -- we are working on a plan for a summertime
Attention Project Canterbury folks: if any of you are aged 20 or older and would be interested in a camp
counselor job this summer, check this out! Our own Collis Cody Nelson has been hired already.

TOTUS TUUS SUMMER PROGRAM
1st – 12th Graders
We are having TOTUS TUUS (“Totally Yours” in Latin) summer catechetical youth program and not a Vacation Bible School this year to be held at St. Patrick Church Parish Center. This Program is a Catholic diocesan program that gathers college students and seminarians onto teams of four young leaders and sends them out to parishes to spread the GOOD NEWS of our LORD among children and youth.
Rising 1st – 6th grades Monday, June 29th-Friday,July 3rd 9am-2:30pm
Rising 7th- 12th grades Sunday, June 28th-Thursday July 2nd 7pm-9pm
For grade school children the program consists of catechetical instruction, songs, games, daily Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, lunch, recess and more. Totus Tuus balances strong catechetical content with having FUN! Remember the grade school children are asked to bring a sack lunch each day and any outdoor sports equipment (labeled with name) they may want to use for recess.
The middle/high school program has catechetical instruction, a night of Adoration and Reconciliation on Wednesday, and a night of fellowship with the team. The goal of the program is to help them know the LORD and love him more deeply.
Enrollment Forms will be in our foyer. Please fill one out per family. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me. I am very excited about having this program and that it also involves teaching to our 7th through 12th grade level youth!

Dr. Garber, our Parish Choir, all musicians and creators of the lovely reception!
Thanks be to God!
WORSHIP MINISTRY CORNER
Greetings Parish Family, hope all is well for everyone and their families. Summer is upon us which leads to vacations and very many endeavors you may encounter this season.
I would like to take this opportunity, for those of you to have never had the privilege of serving on the altar, to know what a blessing this truly is. This sometimes seems intimidating for some, but please know everyone can do this. There are openings for acolytes, which is one of the first things one should learn while serving on the altar. The position of being an acolyte is for all ages and all are welcome. If you are interested please contact Jay Gose, Gigi Sharpe or myself. I want you to realize when you are part of the service what an honor and blessing it is to be part of this holy experience.
