SUNDAY MASS
This weekend we will resume our regular
Sunday Mass schedule.
Cardinal Dolan asked that we emphasize to all of our parishioners that the
dispensation for attending Sunday Mass is still in place.
Anyone in a high-risk group for contracting Covid-19, or who
feels at all uncomfortable being in a group setting, should not
feel obligated to come to Church right now.
All of the changes that have been put into place are to keep
parishioners as safe as possible - but we know that for some, that means staying at home for now.
Your health and safety is our first priority.

Returning to Sunday Mass...
We are very happy to announce that we are resuming Sunday Masses.
We are extremely grateful to the volunteers on the Parish Safety Team that made it possible.
We have tried to cover everything that will be new on the page below to give you an idea of
what to expect when you return to Church.
These changes are simpler in practice than they may seem in writing.
Please familiarize yourself with these changes so that we can all help each other through this unusual transition.
Under the new guidelines... We have permission to celebrate Mass with a maximum of 25% of the Church’s seating capacity. For us, that means 50 people. The Church will open half an hour before Mass and everyone will come in through one door where one of our volunteers will be doing a headcount. Please maintain 6 feet of distance from others when entering the Church. There are stands in the vestibule with hand sanitizer - everyone is asked to please use one when they arrive. A mask or face covering must be worn (covering the nose and mouth). The only time your mask may be briefly lowered is when you receive Communion (specifics are below). Please consider if you are able to wear a mask for the length of time required before coming to Mass. Once inside you will see that there is tape across the entrance to every other pew - those pews are to remain empty. We can have 2 people* in the open pews - there are tape marks at both ends to indicate where you should sit.
* Family members who live together may sit together. They will be seated in their own pew.. All shared worship materials (i.e. missalettes) have been removed from the church. We encourage you to read through the scheduled readings for Mass before arriving. Our Sunday bulletin lists the readings for the upcoming week or you can find readings online (by date) at http://usccb.org/ There will not be an Entrance or Offertory Procession. We will not be passing the collection basket. Please drop your envelopes in one of the bins on the small tables behind the rear pews. Handshakes are not permitted. Please acknowledge others with a wave or nod. Parishioners should not sing the hymns. When lining up to receive Communion the social distancing rule is still in place. Your mask should be in place when receiving Communion. When you receive the host (distributed in the hand only) you will step 6’ away from Father*, lower your mask to place the host in your mouth, then put it back in place before returning to your seat via the side aisle. * stepping over to the statue of the Blessed Mother (left) or Christ the King (right) is suggested. After Mass, parishioners can exit through any door, maintaining the required social distance. Please do not gather in front of the Church outside.
Now, more than ever before, it is important that everyone is connected to the Parish.
We are utilizing Flocknote for important updates
and sending out the weekly bulletin.
FLOCKNOTE IS OUR PRIMARY SOURCE OF COMMUNICATION WITH PARISHIONERS
DURING THIS COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
Do you know a parishioner who is not receiving Flocknotes?
Please help us get them enrolled for our parish updates!
All details about reopening will be sent out via Flocknote.
We know some of our parishioners do not use computers, and Flocknote offers the option
of receiving information via cellphone.

UPDATES & REMINDERS
SUNDAY MASS
This weekend we will resume Sunday Masses following the new guidelines detailed in this bulletin. If you’re not in a high risk category for Covid-19, please consider volunteering for our Parish Safety Team. We still need some additional volunteers.
The Cardinal’s dispensation for our Sunday obligation is still in effect as those at higher risk for Covid-19 are advised to stay at home for the time being.
WEEKDAY MASS
Weekday Masses have resumed. The same guidelines are in place as for Sunday Mass (with the exception of a door count).
CONFESSIONS
Confession with Father Sebastian may be scheduled during regular office hours (Monday - Friday from 9:30am - 4:30pm). We are not permitted to use the confessional booths in the Church, but we are working on a solution and will keep you updated.
THE PARISH OFFICE
The office is now open during regular hours (9:30am-4:30pm). Under the new guidelines...
Visitors must wear masks.
We can only have a limited number of people in the office. We are able to accommodate 2 people at a time while still adhering to the current social distancing requirements.
We encourage you to call the office before visiting. In most cases we can prepare your certificate, Mass card, etc. in advance and have it ready for you when you arrive.
We will still offer a contact-free option for parishioners. Items can be dropped off through the mail slot in the door anytime and the office vestibule has a drop-off/pick-up station available during office hours that does not require entering the office itself.
Update on Father Staar
Father Staar has been transferred to the
Helen Hayes Hospital for Rehabilitation.
He is still recovering from
breaking several ribs and
fracturing his right arm, elbow & wrist.
Get well cards and notes may be sent
to the Rectory Office.
Please keep Father Staar in
your prayers during his recovery.

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

We know that some parishioners have been economically effected by this pandemic and are not in a position to make their regular contributions.
Please know that everyone in the parish is being prayed for - both for their physical health and for their family’s financial security.
