• Video game addiction is a registered medical addiction that affects 15% of gamers worldwide.

• Game addiction can lead to neglect of social life, or anything outside the game. Grades fall drastically in teenagers. This addiction leads to heart disease and massive weight gain or loss.

• Any type of game can potentially be addicting; however, Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games, or MMORPGs, are the most addictive.

• Some well-known MMORPGs include World of Warcraft, or WoW, and the free game Runescape.

• Game addiction has the potential to affect everyone. However, males between the ages of 18 and 30 are the most vulnerable. This is because they are more exposed to games than the rest of the population.

• An input device is any device is any thing that that you have plug into the computer and it puts information into the computer.

• Communication devices are all the devices that allow you to communicate with a another computer an your own computer.

Binary Numebrs Information

• Binary numbers are made up of 1’s and 0’s• All decimal system numbers are converted

into a series of 1’s and 0’s by the computer, and then converted back for displaying.

• Whereas our traditional system on a base power of ten system, binary is on a base power of 2

• This means that all of the ones and zeroes correspond to a number, which are then added.

To convert from standard to binary, first find the largest number power multiple of 2 that goes into the number, then work down the ladder.

• CPU-(Central Processing unit) is the processor of the computer

• Motherboard-the main circuit board of the computer.PCI and USB ports are attached to the motherboard

• Memory(RAM)-The main memory source in a computer. RAM needs power and if power is lost, the data will be lost as well.

• Hard drive-The main source the computer uses to store information. Once information is stored, it can NOT be removed.

• Spyware may masquerade as some type of security warning or pop-up window. Spyware is not designed to damage anything. Its designed to get information off of your computer.

Spyware vs. Virus

• Difference between virus and spyware is that a virus spread through out a computer. Also, a virus goal is to damage the computer as a whole. Resulting in making the computer come on and operate. On the other hand, spyware is not designed to damaged. Spyware only attacks the RAM, making the computer slower.
