JCI World Congress
Daily NewsDelegates started day two of the JCI World Congress by attending the energetic and dynamic
first JCI Morning Show. JCI members danced and felt the magic in the air as the show
kicked off. Delegates welcomed UN Foundations Nothing But Nets Campaign Director, Chris
Helfrich who discussed the importance of JCI members continued efforts to advocate for the
prevention and eradication of malaria. The Kickin it in Kanazawa news segment debuted,
which showcasing the Opening Ceremony and programs. Immediately following, 2016 JCI Vice
President candidates gathered at the 2016 Vice President Candidates Presentation and Caucus
where they expressed their plans and concrete actions for the future.
At General Assembly I, National Presidents and Chief Delegates convened to discuss important
items regarding the future of JCI and received a variety of reports from JCI partners. For further
collaboration, both AIESEC and the Nippon Foundation signed official Memorandums of
Understanding with JCI. At night, members celebrated a successful day of impact at the JCI
