National Security Language Initiative for Youth

The National Security Language Initiative (NSLI) was announced by Bush Administration at the beginning of 2006 and sponsored by the federal government. The initiative seeks to expand and improve the teaching and learning of strategically important world languages that are not now widely taught in the US.
