Many falls can be avoided with assessment, training, awareness, and follow-up.

To do this, create a fall-safety prevention program for your

team!

But how?

?

Step 1:Consider the types of falls that could be

happening at your work.

Can your employees…Fall from ladders?

Fall from a roof?

Fall from a scaffold?

Fall down stairs?

Fall through a floor or roof opening?

Step 2: Make a list with your answers.

Step 3: Now that you understand where your fall hazards are; what can

you improve?

Ask these questions…Is your program meeting its goals?

Are you experiencing injuries or near misses?

Are your employees educated in fall safety?

What equipment have you provided to your workers?

Is better equipment available?

If you determine one of these areas need improvement, or you

need more information…

Step 5: Follow Up

Work with your team to develop presentations, policies, etc. to meet your needs. Collaborate with your team and consider making long-term changes.

The End

“While on a ladder, never take a step back to admire your work.”
