Agenda

§ Professional Business Simulations, or serious games, are interactive workshops in which teams of employees work on challenging issues within a simulated environment.

§ The environment can be the same or a totally different context to the 'normal' working environment.

§ In a simulation each participant will play a role and has specific tasks, responsibilities and authority.

Business Simulation – How do they work?

Apollo 13 – an ITSM Experience

This simulation will help translate ITSM theory into practice, create buy-in and capture concrete improvement actions, helping to realize a customer focused culture and improve service quality..

Challenge of Egypt

If you want to learn how to translate Project Management theory into practice, assess your project behavior and processes, and identify how to improve your project management performance, this simulation can help.

19

Business Simulation – Workshop

Cayenne(Change Management)

Everyone wants to lead successful projects and be effective project managers. However, project management is challenging. Time constraints, budgets, overloaded project members. Learning from mistakes made in projects is possible, but only if you understand what happened.

The Phoenix of Project

DevOps is driven by the business need for ever faster deployment of new functionality and frustration with the time and effort it takes to get new systems into Operations.

It is no longer a question of 'should we adopt DevOps' ,but 'when and how'.

However DevOps represents a significant cultural and behavioral change and many organizations fail to address this in their adoption. This game can be used to help explore and understand DevOps, and to identify and agree concrete actions for adopting and deploying DevOps practices.

20

Business Simulation – Workshop

Concordia

The COBIT Games is an interactive simulation, designed and developed by ITpreneurs, where participants have to prepare the city of Concordia for hosting the upcoming Olympic Games. By preparing the infrastructure of the city, participants learn about the underlying aspects of IT governance.

They recognize how the adoption of a process and control framework can help achieve better business alignment, delivery of value, management of risks and resources, and measurement of performance.

Customized

Organization may choose to have a business simulation customized for their particular needs.
