Day1oftheeventconsistedofofficialpanelsessions,presentationsandone-on-onemeetingswithstartups.Thedaywasfilledwithnetworkingandsharedlearnings,andtheoverarchingthemeofthedaywas“FutureTrends.”Severaleventsponsors,includingLandmarkVentures,moderatedandcoordinatedmanyoftheSummitactivities.ZeevKlein,GeneralPartneratLandmarkVentures,kickedoffthedaywithawelcomeaddressandopeningremarks.

AccordingtoCarlaGhosn,HeadofBusinessDevelopmentandInnovationatVisa,2016wasthefirstyearthatelectronicpaymentssurpassedcash,whichhastremendousimplicationsforglobaltechnology.SheaddedthattherearebenefitstoglobalizationforVisa,and

thecompanyiscodevelopingwithtechnologycompaniesaroundtheworld.

3. AutonomousVehicleTechnologyIsLeadingtheWayintotheFutureThetechnologyforautonomousvehiclesisgrowingrapidly,andIsraelstartupsareleadingthischarge.Over60%ofautonomousvehicletechnologyisfromIsraelistartups.

Airobotics:RanKrauss,CEOandCo-FounderofAirobotics,adeveloperofautomatedindustrialdrones,presented“TheRevolutionofAutomatedDrones”andhighlightedthatalthoughdronesstartedastoys,herealizedtheirpotentialafterworkinginthedronespaceforsevenyears.HecreatedAirobotics,whichisadroneinabox,builtbya100-personteaminIsraeloveraone-yearperiod.Krausssaidthatcollectingdataisnottheendgame,butratherworkingoncollectivedataandgatheringinsightsiswhatcompaniesneed.Helearnedthatmanyofhisclientswereunabletogatherthedatatheyalreadyhad.Today,AiroboticsisthefirstcompanyintheworldthatwasgrantedpermissionbytheFederalAviationAdministration(FAA)toflywithoutapilot.KraussseesthesecondphaseforAiroboticsasthemovetocitiesandthethirdphaseasthecommercialuseofdronesfordelivery,realestateandindustrialuses.

Otonomo:BenVolkow,CEOandCo-FounderofOtonomo,presentedontheconnectedcarexperience.Otonomoprovidesadataexchangeplatformthatallowscarmanufacturers,appdevelopersandserviceproviderstoexchangecar-generateddataforabetterconnected-carexperience.VolkowproposesthatcarmanufacturerswillalsobecomeITprovidersinthefuture,sinceconsumersareconnectedallthetime.
